Pierre & Vacances Resort Terrazas Costa del Sol

Although I'm still on the vacation, I'm putting this review in now as I can't believe some of the negative remarks that have been made!! We arrived at 1am and after I stupidly left my wallet at Newcastle airport, both night and day receptionists were very accomodating enough to let me sort out getting all my information into Gpay to then pay the deposit required on arrival, both friendly and highly fluent in English, people claiming that the staff are rude and don't speak English! I'm going to be quite frank! If you don't like someone that may struggle understanding you at some point then don't go to their country, or learn to speak their language in the first place, I've had nothing but pleasant engagement with all staff as of yet, including the staff that are not fluent in English! The beach is yes a bit of a hike away, but if my 4 YEAR OLD can do the walk down, then 2 miles along a beach and back up that hill then so can any self respecting adult! Yes the shop is a bit pricey, but a taxi down the road isn't that expensive if you want to save money on food at Lidl, the taxi driver we had was impeccable and so nice I wanted to buy him a beer. I would advise hiring a car but also understand that not everyone can drive or afford a car on a holiday so bare that in mind when looking at your next holiday. Regardless of all the mildly awkward parts, we're booking next year's holiday here, and at the time of writing this review we're 4 days into this holiday. Impressive as it's the cheapest holiday along the coastline

We stayed at Pierre et Vacances Resort Terrazas Costa del Sol for 4 nights while attending a family wedding nearby, and it was the perfect choice for our family of 5! Our apartment was just the right size with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sofa bed, plus a fully equipped self-catering kitchen with all the essentials (plates, cookware, etc.). We loved having a beautiful balcony to sit out on, overlooking the stunning pool area. The pool itself was a highlight – well maintained and with a poolside bar serving drinks, snacks, and light lunches. The pizzas and nachos were especially delicious! We also tried the breakfast buffet one morning – although there was no live cooking station, it was still very enjoyable with a good selection. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the views of the Rock of Gibraltar are just breathtaking. A special mention to the reception team – we checked in at 1am, and there was friendly staff available to help us, which made things so easy after a long journey. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommend for families looking for comfort, space, and great facilities!
