The Mandore - a Leafy Resort

The property is located in a quiet, quaint place and is a product of extreme love and care by the owner. You are welcomed by lots of greenery and old world charm. Cottages are well decorated with large rooms. Food (veg only, eggs available on request) is delicious and staff are courteous. Yet, the highlight of the property is the resident four-legged, furry Customer Relations Officer, Happy, who will make sure is as happy as they can be.

Hotel is a bit out of the center of Jodhpur, which was not a problem for us since we had a driver. In walking distance you'll find a nice garden (25 rupees entrance fee). We stayed on the first floor. Bedroom was really big and had a comfortable bed. Bathroom was also big, but had some drainage issues. The garden looks like a jungle, especially when monkeys are visiting. Breakfast was ok, dinner was really good. Wifi was not stable. A very nice place to relax, recommended if transport is not an issue.

Charming quiet green haven, wonderful escape from the hussle & horns. Beautiful pool where we spent many afternoons recovering in the middle of our trip - we did not want to leave! Good variety of tasty healthy veg meals in restaurant. We also appreiated valuable insights/help with our travels from the lovely family of two generations who set up & run this charming place. A real bonus was being able to take an Early morning walk before breakfast to Mandore Gardens each day for a few circuits (it's open very early for walkers) which was also great respite.

My partner and I had such a great stay at Mandore Guesthouse. We did a volunteer program through Sanjay and his father where we helped at a school 20 minutes away. We painted the school bench’s and desks and got to play with a number of the very friendly children! It was a great experience, next time we will come back during school time! Once we completed 3 days volunteering, he made sure to give us a few G&Ts for our work which we enjoyed around a fire with his lovely family. This was one of our favourite experiences on our 4 week travels in India! Sanjay made us feel like family as soon as we arrived, he organised everything for us very easily. He put us in one of the best rooms available which was very spacious and peaceful. The food is delicious at Mandore. We ate out a few times but we always preferred the food at Mandore guesthouse. Garlic naans and gravy vegetable curry’s were amazing! Pizzas also very yummy! The staff are more than helpful and go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend whether you are staying as a guest and relaxing or wanting to volunteer! The gardens in the hotel and beautiful! We will definitely be back! Thanks again
