Maryann and Jack make everyone feel at home at this gorgeous historic inn. Attention to detail is evident everywhere, but nothing ever feels off limits. Books, artwork, antiques and houseplants make everyone feel at home. A couple was enjoying a game of Scrabble as we returned from dinner one evening. Breakfasts are delicious and varied. The inn’s location close to both Hildene and The Equinox Skyline Drive make it a perfect spot for enjoying all the nearby amenities. We will definitely return.

As usual the INN was welcoming and beautiful and central to many places to go. The coffee is always waiting and the cookies are in your room for a snack. The homemade breakfast in the morning is delicious and the menu changes daily. The bookcases are filled with local history facts for your “quiet” time. We will definitely return. We enjoy the local restaurants and stopping to shop for the latest maple creations and souvenirs.

An excellent location. A short drive to town and once there very walkable. Our Inn keepers were very gracious and accommodating. We were treated like old friends. Breakfasts were first class and served in a elegant dining room. Our room was extremely clean with only the smell of fresh mountain air. All the rooms at the Inn are beautifully decorated. The bed/pillows were very comfortable as were the love seat and several arm chairs. A lot of attention was paid to detail - luxury in the mountains. The atmosphere was very quiet, no loud music or noise. We were glad we went and will visit again. I

The Inn at Ormsby Hill was picture perfect and the location was excellent as it was just a short drive to Manchester Village. The Inn itself felt historically warm and welcoming with large fireplaces, classic and comfortable furnishing in relaxing common spaces. We stayed in the Pierrepont room with mountain views. Our room was quiet, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! The inn keepers, Jack and Mary Ann were very friendly and took time to provide suggestions of places to visit and things to do in the area.

Our experience at the Inn was excellent for the most part. Beautiful decor, lovely grounds and very good breakfast. However, when we went into our room we tried to put on the gas fireplace but it did not work. We to see the owners and they proceeded to tell us that the fireplace had been broken for several weeks. They said that they did not have the time to call us before we came because they were too busy. I am sure they had time to take phone calls to book future reservations. Not having the time to call us two weeks before and advise us that the fireplace was not working is a ridiculous explanation. Actually we would have canceled our reservation and went to another place that had a working fireplace. I guess they were afraid we would cancel and they might wind up with an empty room for the weekend. Once before they the property was owned by other people when I arrived they said the plumbing was not working in our room so they gave us a more expensive room and did not charge us a higher rate. I realized this weekend there was no other room available to change us to. However, they did not offer to reduce the rate that was being paid or even offer us complimentary tickets to see the Robert Lincoln home which they were selling for $25.00 a piece.

Maryann and Jack were so welcoming and kind from the start. The Inn is so lovely and the Lincoln room was beautifully appointed, as well as comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (homemade pancakes by Jack himself) and Maryann made sure our dietary needs were met. We left feeling very relaxed and will stay there again soon!
