Tru by Hilton Manchester Downtown

Location: Conveniently located in the center of the city, easy to reach destinations.

The hotel is conveniently located and within walking distance of the downtown area. The reception staff were pleasant and cheerful. The room was bright, modern and clean. The breakfast was very poor..... a limited selection of cereal and facilities to make pancakes. At 9.00 am there was one small omelette and three sausages and two hard boiled eggs left. These were not replenished. The hard boiled eggs were disgusting anyway. No yogurts or muffins were available.

Recent stay. Staff is polite and professional but it’s pretty typical of any other mid-grade Hilton. Facility was clean. That’s where my positive outlook ends. Location was alright, but the walk to the river is a bit odd because you have to cross a wide parking and the bridge area felt a bit sketchy. Moving along, the pillows were way too soft, but, in a way where I’d need eight of them to sleep comfortably. They literally disintegrated and I have no idea why Hilton would use pillows that flimsy. Breakfast was abysmal. Hard boiled eggs were bitter, oatmeal was watery, bananas were overripe and juice had a weird aftertaste.
