Best Manama Hotels

"Hotel is good location and cleanliness wise but the spoiler issue is the constant loud music that is telecast from the bar room. I couldn’t sleep before 3am. When I complained I was told that that was not possible as I was on the fifth floor. No apologies or efforts to resolve the issue was made. The reception desk is not cooperative and argues back. Travellers should be awsre of this problem before booking."

"The hotel is very suitable for families and is close to the Seef area and markets, and is always a good choice due to its reasonable price. However, on my last visit, the suite was excellent, but it was on the first floor, which is unsafe as the balcony overlooks the air conditioners directly. It's easy to enter the room, and the beds are single, even though I requested a king-size bed. I also told the staff I wanted a suite on the upper floor, but my request was not fulfilled."

I was impressed with how attentive every employee was. whether the driver will pick me up at the airport Reception staff or even the cleaning staff Everyone is very attentive to me. Just like their family members. I really appreciate all the people here. If there is a chance, I will definitely stay again."

"I highly recommend this place, especially for families. It's centrally located in Manama. There's no bar on site. All the staff are excellent and incredibly helpful. Breakfast is good and varied, served in a spacious and pleasant area. Being on the 24th floor, it offers beautiful panoramic views where you can see Bahrain's stunning landmarks."

"Advantages The location is close to most malls, including City Center, Avenues, and others. There are swimming pools suitable for children, as well as playrooms for children with coloring and PlayStations. There is also a health club and a spa. Disadvantages The price is high. There is some noise from cars."

"The room was incredibly spacious; for the same price in Japan, you'd probably get a room only one-sixth the size. However, the facilities are a bit old. There's a swimming pool, and both sauna and steam rooms are available. Be very careful in the bathroom as it's extremely slippery. It's located right next to Bahrain's largest mosque, which is pretty standard. If you head about 500 meters left out of the hotel, you'll find an entire street of various restaurants. This place is just too hot, and honestly, there's not much else to do."

"This hotel is pretty old but still functioning and room is pretty big. We spent only a day for transit is ok. Hotel staff is really helpful and friendly."

"The bed is not comfortable and sunken. There is no elevator at the reception lobby to our bedroom located at the ground floor.  The service is not up to the expectation, toothbrush and slippers only provided for one person despite we booked for 2 persons. When I requested for my one more slippers,  the guy from housekeeping literally opened our bedroom door to deliver the slippers while we were in the room . That was very rude and unacceptable. He should have knocked on our door wait for me to open the door rather than coming in to our room without permission."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Bahrain. The location was perfect for us with the Manama Souk and Bahrain Harbour area nearby. There were many good restaurants on site and nearby. It was also close to lots of cafes and shops. In the near future there will also be a metro station nearby. Check in at the hotel was smooth. We were even able to add on a breakfast for our last day and make adjustments to our reservation request in person. We rented a car and the valet service was very good during our stay. We booked a king bed room and it was nicely appointed. They had a couple of nice chairs, large TV, coffee/tea station, mini fridge with bar and a table side console that controlled the lights and temperature throughout the room. The TV had screen mirroring and Bluetooth features that were easy to connect to. Our room had a large fruit platter which had perfectly ripe fruit and we were delivered 3 small chocolate platters during our stay because of Eid celebrations. The pillows were a little soft for us but they have a pillow menu that we utilized. Our room was very quiet for most of our stay but our neighbours above and beside were unexpectedly loud the last night and we had to call for assistance a couple times. The bathroom had very nice products including lotion, body wash, conditioner and shampoo. The shower was nice too but when using the rain head we found the water leaked out very easily and made the floor wet. There was a speaker in the bathroom but we could not figure out how to connect to it. The pool area was awesome and relaxing on the rooftop of the Regency tower. The hotel had two pools but the one on the mezzanine level by the restaurants was closed during our stay due to Ramadan celebrations that had just finished. The pool had lots of different day bed options, large towels and some very good cocktails including one of the best Pina coladas I've had in the middle east. The wifi was good throughout the hotel but it was a bit spotty in the corners at the pool. The change room had lots of lockers and large shower stalls that had the same nice products from the hotel bathrooms. They have a large health club/gym in this area too and a racquetball court. Manama is a foodie paradise and there are many top notch restaurants around so we opted to eat offsite for most of the days. We did try the breakfast on our last day and we paid 12.5 BHD per person. There is a good spread including pastries, cheese, eggs to order (including a very good shakshuka), western breakfast items, three kinds of bacon (including pork), pork sausage to order and a good honey selection. The best part of breakfast was the fresh juice. They offered us late check out which we appreciated and it was easy to check out at the counter but the valet service was very busy just after 1 pm and the traffic made it difficult to get out and to the airport in the rental. We spent maybe an extra 10 minutes to get out but every other day we had zero issues using the valet and roads nearby. The stay at the Intercontinental was very relaxing and we felt refreshed for each day exploring Bahrain. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Bahrain."
