I was so excited to spend my Friday to Monday in Malindi for my friends wedding. I was also excited for Kasa thinking after all the travel it took for us to get there that we would have a wonderful time. Unfortunately, this was not even remotely the case. If there is one thing I cannot get behind, it is a poorly operated hotel that relies heavily on aesthetics to appear to be 5 star and mask all the inefficiencies and pitfalls: I would rather take hot water or running water at ALL than a coconut on arrival. I would rather be able to lock all my external facing doors as a single woman, than have a floating tray and flower petals placed delicately in the pool. I would rather an establishment that cares about being solution-oriented, rather than give us excuse after excuse. Unfortunately, these were all real issues we faced- no water, unresponsive staffing, and unsafe conditions.And it wasn’t just us- the main topic of conversation at the included breakfast was each guests unresolved issues of the day. Further more, the upcharge on the airport transfer and any taxi taken from the hotel was ridiculous. They charged us what a regular taxi would charge. Also in most hotels, especially ones considered five star, the airport transfer should be included. I would not recommend this place at all.

KASA KASA KASA!!!! We are definitely coming back many many MANY times !!! We absolutely LOVED IT😍 We had a very warm welcome by Ramson and the lady at the reception was very friendly and recommended for us the Turtle view restaurant. The views the views the views…EXCEPTIONAL !!!! Amazing mocktails recommended by Angela who was super SUPER GREAT 😊 Food yummy yummy YUMMY…. great portions 🤭🤭🤭We had a really great time here and highly highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

It was a beautiful resort but... definitely not as luxurious as it claims to be. We had an excellent server who was kind and made us feel welcome. Unfortunately, my friends and I got scammed by the driver who the hotel recommended (seems like they were in cahoots ) and every place we went we were pressured to tip and participate. Also, an air that everyone is trying to get you to tip them not actually just doing nice things. Just be careful.

They hosted a new years party where we had ordered specific vegetarian food. They agreed to cater for us and paid the equivalent charges however when we got there, the food was not available as per the request and I had hungry children and a diabetic husband. They kept telling us from 9.30pm that they are preparing but nothing came on our table until we argued. We had to beg for our food and eventually got it at the strike of 12 midnight hence we missed out on the fireworks and the party as we were busy chasing for our food. The manager was really horrible who lied to us that they were preparing as per their conformation but only started to chop veggies until they saw us in the kitchen at 10.30pm as we went to ask for our food. She defended herself despite sorting it out on time and we didn't get our full refund back either. She gave out a figure and tried to get away with giving a lower amount then what she had quoted until we had to argue about that also. They ruined our experience totally. Very unaccomodative and horrible service!

My wife and I stayed at Kasa Hotel in Malindi on December 2nd and 3rd, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Everything about this place is stunning, from the beautiful design to the relaxing atmosphere—it felt like a little slice of paradise. The standout for us was the amazing staff. Mildred at the restaurant was simply outstanding. She made sure every detail was just right and brought such warmth and care to every interaction. The gentleman at the cash register in the restaurant was also incredibly friendly and welcoming—it felt like chatting with an old friend. At the front desk, the gentleman who assisted us was professional, kind, and made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The lush gardens and serene pool area created the perfect backdrop for unwinding, and the rooms were not just comfortable but thoughtfully decorated to match the coastal vibe. The food was another highlight. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and packed with flavor. We especially loved dining by the ocean in the evening—it was the perfect way to end each day. The location struck the perfect balance. It’s close enough to explore the town of Malindi but tucked away enough to feel like a private retreat. On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give a solid 5. That said, there’s always room for improvement in any experience, and I’m confident the hotel will continue to elevate its offerings. If you’re visiting Malindi, Kasa Hotel is an excellent choice, and we’d happily return in the future.
