The Valamar Meteor hotel was in a great location right by the beach and near the old town.
The view was nice and the room was clean.
Breakfast is also great !!
The sunset is beautiful !!

Had a fantastic time at this hotel. The food was one of the best i have ever had. The hotel was spotless and with amazing staff from the cleaners up to managers. The location to old town was a 5 min walk, which was great. The only negative i have is the beds by the pool. It clearly states on the sign that the towels or personal belongings are not allowed to be left on the bed. I think this needs to be monitored a little better by the two men who sit there giving out your towels. We would go there and have to sit at the bar waiting for a bed to come available as all the beds were taken with towels and no one coming back to these beds until 4 or 5 o’clock in the evening . Surly they could walk around and if no one had come back to these beds in 1/2 hour then they should be removed to make room for people who are waiting for beds. The beach in front of the hotel was absolutely rammed in August so didn’t venture there. But other than that would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stunning view. Very cosy and clean appartment with the beautiful sea view. Variety of tasty dishes on breakfast and dinner. Nice swimming pools one of them with a view. Very close to sea side and city centre with a different ships and boats ️. Very nice and instagram place. Also they have a friendly staff. Very helpful and cheerful. There are a lot of activities for different age children too.

Have stayed in other Valamar hotels and therefore had high expectations. We arrived and were not greeted with a very friendly reception, the staff ignored us even though we had been to the desk a couple of times. Our room was good but pillows were terrible, giving a poor night's sleep. The bathroom is dated and shower ran hot and cold. The side sea view we had paid extra for had the worst balcony I have ever been given, barely enough room to step around the table and chairs. Food was excellent with a really good choice and high quality. The pool are is very nice but difficult to find an unoccupied sunbed. We enjoyed drinks in the bar in the evenings, the staff were very pleasant here. However the kids scooters located in the reception in the bar area seem very dangerous so close the staircases and with glasses on tables.

We rarely visit the same place twice but this hotel was worth the return trip. If you prefer hotel staff who are loud and make a fuss this of you, this isn’t the hotel for you. The Meteor team are professional, respectful and treat everyone the same. The grounds are compact, spotless and well maintained with different seating areas for a change of vibe. Watching the world go by and looking out to sea from the long, narrow infinity pool is quite relaxing and a welcome change from a busy working week. The rooms are fairly small but very comfortable, with storage, a safe and balcony. Although the buffet dining room could be busy, there is a plentiful selection of absolutely delicious, fresh food to chose from Excellent location near bars, shops, water sports, the quaint old town and harbour. The beach is crowded and compact but enjoyably all the same being straight over the promenade from the hotel. The only downside of our stay, was the air-con not always working, affecting a couple of nights sleep. The reception team however were very happy to help when notified of the problem. Thank you!

Good location. Comfy beds & pillows. Lovely spacious balcony with sea view. Food excellent but always choose the freshly cooked options to ensure it’s hot. Everywhere was very clean. Things we didn’t like: staff weren’t very friendly, 99% of the guests are German who all seem to smoke around pool & neighbouring bars/restaurants/sea & no variation in cuisine of nearby restaurants. Pool doesn’t open until 9am, too late for us & pool bar doesn’t open until 10 for drinks & 12 for food. Room was very small & bathroom tiny, one person at a time to use it. Had a pleasant stay but not for us.
