Valmer Resort and Spa

The hotel is located in the south of Mahé, in a very quiet location. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is adequate; if there was anything missing and a question was asked, it was always fulfilled. Unfortunately, the plates and the buffet were cleared earlier than planned. For example, breakfast times from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. began to be cleared at around 9:15 a.m., which didn't go down well. It's also understandable that, given the stated times, you don't have to arrive for breakfast at 9:20 a.m. Unfortunately the wine we ordered for dinner was too warm, even an ice bucket didn't help :-( Now the unpleasant thing: There weren't enough loungers and parasols for all the guests. On top of that the cushions on the loungers were VERY stained, worn out and covered in burn marks, very off-putting. The rooms were large, the sofa was also covered in stains, the TV had to be restarted by the staff every day, regardless of whether you use the TV or not, if the TV is in the room it should work. The biggest drawback was the air conditioning, which was far too small to cool the large room and was also very loud. The hotel urgently needs a renovation given the prices being charged.
