They were energetic, entertaining, and made every day enjoyable with fun activities, games, and evening shows. They created such a great atmosphere and made everyone feel included. "Me and my wife booked a week here and was really looking forward to our holiday. When we arrived we was asked for a coupon that we was never provided so we had to sit in the lobby for two hours. We was given bands to get food and drink. Then we was eventually given a room that we was taken to and the room was full of mouse poo. Soo back to the lobby we went and was given a new room the balcony was covered in paint chips off the rails. Our first night was good until we could hear dripping that turned out was coming from the ac unit that had rotted the ceiling and had mould on but that wasn't going to stop our holiday. What actually stopped us was the food all was well till we ate dinner and oh boy did it make us both sick so bad that one day we couldn't leave our room we both had very bad diarrhoea and my wife was even throwing up. I would avoid this hotel even the staff said to us don't eat the chicken and we went on a horse ride at night around mahdia and our guide said don't eat the chicken at our hotel. Spend a bit more people and go to sousse we went to alkasar in Feb and was waaaaaay better one of our waiters even agreed."

"I had a disappointing experience at this hotel. While the location was convenient, the overall quality did not meet expectations. The rooms were not as clean as they should be, and the maintenance seemed neglected in several areas. The service was also below standard. Staff were not very attentive or helpful, and communication was often slow. Small issues took far too long to be resolved, which made the stay frustrating. Additionally, the facilities did not match what was advertised. Some amenities were either unavailable or not properly maintained. Overall, the hotel does not offer good value for the price. I would not recommend staying here and would suggest looking for better alternatives."

"I have never been to a worse hotel, the rooms were as dirty and broken as some kind of workers' hostel, the bar staff (especially the pool bar) made it clear that you were annoying them, they would grab the top of the glass with dirty hands. (I was sick for four days despite my excellent hygiene habits) The drinks were just chemical compounds, you won't get 100% fruit juice there. The Italians who give positive reviews here have their own wing of the building which is of a completely different standard, they have their own animators, their own exterior bar, and own disco stage. The only thing they share is the food. The other people, mainly from Eastern Europe, are first put in bungalows which are of the worst standard where plaster falls on your head. If you complain and especially if you give a bribe at the reception, they will move you after a few days. In other words, half a day was lost moving and relocating to another room, which is not in a completely dilapidated condition, but only partially. The only thing that keeps this hotel afloat is probably the generally good food, the friendly people who clean the tables and the animators. Although the mini disco for children is exactly the same every day, but our child enjoyed it every day. The photos of dirty, moldy rooms and bathrooms that people post here are a cruel reality. I didn't take any photos of it, because I want to erase this vacation from my mind as soon as possible. Hotel El Mehdy never again!"
