Wir wollten unsere Buchung im Elbhotel Magdeburg lediglich um eine Woche verschieben – doch das hat sich als fast unmöglich herausgestellt. Seit über acht Tagen versuchen wir telefonisch eine einfache Änderung vorzunehmen. Ein Mitarbeiter war am Telefon kaum ansprechbar und wirkte völlig überfordert. Eine andere Kollegin versprach, sich sofort darum zu kümmern und uns eine Bestätigung per E-Mail zu schicken – diese ist bis heute, über 24 Stunden später, nicht eingetroffen. Seitdem erreichen wir niemanden mehr: Es wird nur noch auf eine Handynummer verwiesen, auf der niemand ans Telefon geht. So ein unprofessionelles und unzuverlässiges Verhalten haben wir in einem Hotelbetrieb noch nie erlebt. Leider können wir das Elbhotel Magdeburg absolut nicht empfehlen – weder der Service noch die Kommunikation sind akzeptabel.

Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Haus ok. Man muss sich mit Spinnen und Kleintierchen an der Decke anfreunden. Grillbuffet mittwochs und freitags Preis-Leistung überteuert. Qualität unbefriedigend. Positiv ist gut zum entspannen. Einmaliger Besuch reicht. Gibt bessere Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Magdeburg für diesen Preis.

Lage ist top, wenn die Anreise auf die „Insel“ aufgrund von Straßensperrungen auch etwas abenteuerlich war. Es handelt sich hier definitiv eher um ein Boarding House als um ein Hotel. Das Appartement war groß und sauber mit Küche. Allerdings sehr kalt. Die Heizung funktionierte nicht. Check in war bereits um 17 Uhr nicht mehr besetzt und dies lief über das Restaurant. Dieses ist preislich zwar recht hoch aber qualitativ ok. Hunde sind erlaubt und für sie gibt es tolle Gassirunden direkt vor der Tür. Wenn man also eher Appartement als Hotel möchte, ist man hier richtig. Ich selbst würde es jedoch nicht mehr buchen.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gesellschaft zum Lunch anlässlich eines Geburtstages im Elb. Ab der Buchung, bis zum Verlassen des Restaurants hat alles professionell funktioniert. Unsere Gäste und wir haben uns im Elb sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal hat uns die ganze Zeit das Gefühl gegeben Gäste zu sein, Sonderwünsche wurden sofort umgesetzt. Die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut. Wir können das Elb nur empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wenn man den Weg durch den Park geschafft hat, gibts nettes Design, ruhige Zimmer und einen Parkplatz unter dem Haus. Zimmer toll, Essen auch. Für mich klar das beste Hotel in MD. Nett auch der indische Einschlag in der Restaurantkarte. Lecker…

Schnitzel mit 500g Spargel und Kartoffeln für 30€, wobei mit 6 dünnen Stangen (durchgekochten, lapprigen) Spargel die 500g stark angezweifelt werden. Die Katastrophe aber war das sog. Schnitzel: graues/dunkelgraues Fleisch (Pressfleisch??) umhüllt von großzügiger Panade; insgesamt geschmacklich = 0. Nie wieder!
