The accommodation is very comfortable, but be careful with the cleanliness of the bathroom, especially the toilet shower, which I had to clean myself upon arrival. Otherwise, the accommodation is comfortable, practical, and beautiful.
However, this is not a real elephant sanctuary in the sense that when they are not active, they are tied to the ground or in small enclosures! They clearly have more freedom in nature reserves in France or even in zoos. Which is a shame. We pay to admire happy elephants in freedom or semi-freedom, but I have not seen any of them chained or in a small enclosure all the time. Their behavior clearly shows that they are not truly happy and are bored. Also, some show injuries/burns from the chains, which put me off the experience. I will never again participate in this tourism, which is a lie, and it's a competition to see who has the most beautiful photo to post. Seeing them like this made my heart ache. I tried three different establishments, and the speech I heard here was that if you don't tie them up, they fight among themselves. The staff at a real sanctuary are doing well, since elephants live in groups. It's a shame we can't share videos to see their behavior properly.
An elephant was also completely isolated, and to get it to get closer to its chain in order to tie it up, they used small firecrackers. A disgrace.
