I went to Madrid for business and stayed in this hotel on two different dates. I saw good reviews on trip.com and it said it was a design hotel, so I booked two nights on two different dates. This included two check-ins and outs and the cost of going in and out of the airport. I can share my experience with you.
Since the experience of this stay was somewhat different from the reviews on the website, I would like to share my feelings with tourists who want to stay or are preparing to stay. There are advantages and disadvantages.
Short points:
1. Inconvenience of shuttle bus: The hotel shuttle bus to and from the airport only goes back to ”T4 Passenger Terminal” and does not go to T1-3. If you take an international flight to T1 to T3, you must take the airport shuttle bus provided by the airport to reach T4, and then transfer to the hotel shuttle bus.
2. Insufficient special car frequency: The free special car provided by the hotel leaves the hotel every 30 minutes and runs every half hour. The train will stop operating at 10:00, 10:30, 19:00 and 19:30 every day. This arrangement is a bit strange!
3. Reservations are required for the special car: When checking in to the hotel, remember to reserve a seat for the special car at the front desk to ensure that there is a seat back to T4, otherwise you will have to wait another 30 minutes!
4. It takes a long time to get from the airport to the hotel: If you arrive at T1, take the airport bus to T4 (about 15-20 minutes), then wait for the hotel car (usually about 15-20 minutes), and the car will arrive at the hotel (about 15 minutes). My two experiences were that the first time it took 45 minutes. The second time, because the low-speed time was 19:30, which happened to be the suspension time, I waited at the special car position for 45 minutes before a car came. There were also many passengers waiting at the same time. It finally took 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach the hotel. Everyone must pay attention to the shifts!
5. Check-in takes too long: The counter clerk asks for phone number, email and residential address when checking in (this is very strange, why do they need to provide residential address?). Therefore, it will take them about 10 to 15 minutes to complete the check-in. If you are at the back of the line, it may take more than 30 minutes to get a room card.
6. The quality of breakfast food is poor: When checking in, the counter staff will proactively ask to add a buffet breakfast, which costs 18 euros per person. I believe this is the worst breakfast I have ever had in Spain. First of all, the overall layout of the restaurant's breakfast is very beautiful, with many places filled with different kinds of food. Very eye-catching. But the food quality is not good, the Iberico pork slices are thick and tough, like eating rubber, the eggs are fried in oil, not as good as churros. After taking a plate, I couldn't eat it anymore so I just drank coffee. Therefore, on the second night of our stay, we cancelled the morning!
advantage:
1. The room is clean and tidy: It may be newly built. The room is clean and tidy, larger than the average hotel room, with comfortable mattress. There are no slippers and toothbrushes.
2. Beautiful design: The decoration design of the entire hotel is very fashionable, there are enough seats in the public space, and you can bring your computer to the hotel lobby to have a beer and surf the Internet.
3. Surrounding facilities: There is a large supermarket on the right side of the hotel, which is convenient for buying fruits and food. There are also some restaurants opposite the hotel, which are cheaper and more delicious. It is recommended to find some restaurants opposite for dinner
