Our group of 8 was a mini-reunion of friends who attended Berea College together in the late 1960s. This home is spectacular, and we were delighted to learn that it had been built from separate log cabins by one of our classmates. While we experienced a rather typical central KY fall with rain and cool weather on all 5 days of our stay, the many cozy seating areas supported hours of conversation and reminiscing. The outdoor areas were delightful to gaze upon, even with the drizzle. On first glance, arriving guests may think they are in too urban an area, but the entire back side of the home opens to spacious views of nature....and in warm, non rainy weather, there are numerous places to sit, swing, and enjoy the firepits, etc. We only left the premises once during our stay....for dinner in Berea....that says it all!

Martin Manor provided the perfect location for our 10th annual girls trip! The grounds- with horses in the paddock, many ponds and docks- wrap around porch, multiple porch swings, lots of nooks to read and a cozy great room for late night conversations was ideal! The one thing to note would be there are 5 bedrooms and then the living room with an air mattress. I’m certain we’ll be back!

Everything was fabulous! Check-in was simple. The owner provided a very thorough document about the property that includes all of the information you need. We had a wonderful family reunion here with family meeting up from 3 states. We hope to come back next year!

This was a great place for family and friends got get together. The cabin and grounds were large enough that we did not feel crowded but we always felt like we were together due to the unique layout of the cabin. We really liked the fire pit in the back. We also enjoyed the hot tub on the second floor.

Wonderful property and owners Our stay at Martin Manor was perfect for our family! We were from 3 states, in town to celebrate two graduations at EKU. Loved the historic nature of the home and the spaciousness that gave us plenty of room both to spread out and to congregate as desired. Situated in a pastoral setting, we enjoyed porch time and scenic views on all sides of the house. The owners were kind and helpful well above and beyond what is normally expected. Can't say enough good things about this home and its owners. It was just wonderful!

Bicycling vacation The house worked great for us. Plenty of room and options. The only problem was there’s only 4 bedrooms. The 5th bedroom has 3 beds, but the only way out is to go through another bedroom. The hot tub was great. The decks were great. We even enjoyed the pond and fishing!
