Bij aankomst in de kamer bleek de kamer nog niet te zijn schoongemaakt en verder klaargemaakt. . Helemaal geen excuses oid. Hygiëne was slecht. Veel dingen in de kamer verouderd of niet compleet. Bij uitchecken mochten we nog even extra toeristenbelasting betalen, terwijl we dat vooraf al hadden gedaan. Er werd hierbij gezegd dat de tarieven verhoogd waren. Ik heb meegedeeld dat ik het nogal gewaagd vond om dat te vragen, ook omdat het een eigen fout was en verder omdat de service (zie bovenstaand) echt slecht was. Ik heb het geweigerd en heb toen het hotel verlaten.

In November 2025, I stayed for four nights at the Bastion Hotel in Maastricht. The location and parking facilities were positive aspects of the experience. However, there were several issues: my room lacked towels, even after four requests to the receptionist, there was only one toilet roll, a broken lamp, and a malfunctioning air conditioning system. The breakfast appeared to consist of day-old croissants. Despite extensive discussions with the receptionist, I was denied a refund for the remaining nights after the first night. I was advised to contact the Hotel manager, who would determine if a refund was possible. As a guest and business manager, we have decided to pursue a business arrangement with another establishment. This booking was intended as a trial, but unfortunately, the Bastion Hotel in Maastricht did not meet our expectations. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel, regardless of price or hospitality

The Bastión hotel is cozy and the room comfortable and quiet. Staff is kind and helpful. However I was expecting more sport material in the gym such as dumbells. Breakfast was fine with eggs and omellletes being cooked on the spot. However there was no plant-based milk as an alternative to cow milk which is pretty much a standard in hotels.

Lovely hotel! The staff were very friendly and polite even though it was busy. We had a spacious clean room and a super thoughtful welcome with water and wine in the room waiting for us. The choice at breakfast was excellent and overall we had a wonderful stay. Will definitely stay again next year.

Nice well looked after hotel the room we had was small but really Clean (well done to Cleaning staff) Breakfast was Great had everything you needed Just a short walk from the Market Square Great location like all hotels as there was a concert on they capitalised on the it Over all NOT worth the price
