We stayed here for a family wedding and the entire experience was amazing. The hotel it self has a ton of character, the rooms are big, the beds are comfy. The hotel staff are great and actually still get your rooms cleaned which seems to be a thing disappearing at bigger hotels. The event spaces were gorgeous as well. Because the hotel is on the smaller side, it felt like our family had the whole place to ourselves.

Let me start by saying that I’ve stayed here dozens of times without issue. This time, I made a mistake with my reservation and reserved the room one day too soon. As soon as I realized the error I called my Ambassador to help resolve the issue. The hotel refused to grant a “within 48 hr” cancelation exception. No problem, I’ll just speak to them when I arrive at the hotel. Nope……they explained they strictly adhere to this policy. I’ve stayed over 2500 nights at Marriott hotels and this is the first time any Marriott hotel refused to help me out with an issue. The hotel was not sold out (I asked) and the room was only $157. I can’t believe they are willing to lose a customer for $157.

This is THE place to stay in Lynchburg. The best staff and a wonderful property. Walking distance from everything historic. The grounds around the property are beautiful.

Hotel is really cute and unique- BUT up 5 times in one night due to the trains which are right outside the window. Even with the sound machine on it does nothing for the train honking horns as they come through town. Miserable sleep and wouldn’t stay there or recommend it to anyone.

Spontaneous stay and it was wonderful. Shout out to Tamika on our floor and Bayleigh for being so attentive during our visit. Great property & restaurant! There is a train that goes by but didn’t impact us.

First time to Lynchburg and we loved it. This hotel is a gem! Wonderful friendly service. They treated us to a nice bottle of local wine and the room was perfect!

I’m conflicted. Loved the concept of a former shoe factory now a hotel - the theme was well done - and nice staff. But the room has dead bugs in the corner next to my nightstand. Also, the trains are so loud - they literally blow their whistles throughout the night - that each room has a noise machine and they give you earplugs at reception. I would have skipped this place if I had known about the trains. Generally, the Craddock Terry did not live up to the high ratings.
