"The public areas are simply gorgeous, no doubt about it. The butler service was also excellent, truly standing out even among top-tier luxury hotels. Even though my child's birthday had passed a few days prior, they still surprised us with a cake, which was a lovely gesture. The only drawback was a persistent, unpleasant odor in the room. Both the butler and housekeeper attributed it to a 'wood smell,' but it was genuinely off-putting. On a positive note, the housekeeper who performed the turndown service was incredibly thorough with cleaning. Everything else was flawless, except for that room odor."

"We stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel. The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi. The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying. Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there. After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again."

"The hotel is quite new, and the lobby is very large and impressive. Overall, the room was quite comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and was very comfortable, but the drainage was terrible. I'm unsure if it's a design flaw or a blockage, but the water quickly overflowed and nearly reached the carpet. By the end of my shower, I was standing in ankle-deep water, which was quite unpleasant. I called customer service twice – once to have the floor dealt with and once for a new bath mat. However, it seemed only the bath mat request was heard, perhaps due to different staff members answering or a lack of attention, and their tone was rather indifferent. A big thanks, though, to the housekeeping attendant who later returned with tools and meticulously cleaned the bathroom floor. There's a significant design flaw: a glass sliding door between the bathroom and the bed. Even a retractable blind would be a welcome addition, as even couples need some privacy. Furthermore, if one person uses the bathroom light in the middle of the night, the entire room gets illuminated, which is quite impractical. Regarding breakfast, it was a bit underwhelming for a hotel of this caliber. It had all the basics, I suppose, but the taste was very ordinary. The swimming pool is only 1.2 meters deep and maintains a uniform depth throughout. It's about a 30-minute drive from the airport. While not far, its actual location is a bit remote, though the advantage is its peaceful environment. The view outside the window might not have been at its best season; not much of the lake was visible. There's also a construction site outside, so there's no view to speak of at the moment."

"To be honest.. after visiting several hotels in yunnan. This probably the worse one. Firstly, we arrived at hotel, no staff there to do check in/ help us with our luggage. There’s no one at all.. After awhile, A lady from restaurant/other department came and check in for us. And then… no room keys no breakfast voucher/coffee voucher given (my mum went to redeem the free coffee but they said it require voucher). The only thing the staff text me was.. it’s time to check out. No service at all during the whole stay. And the price of this hotel is double triple of other great hotels. Mentioned this to our driver, he said his previous client told him the same thing as well. Regret choosing this hotel."

"My stay this time was truly a wonderful surprise! The hotel's front desk team absolutely deserves a five-star rating! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, with genuinely infectious smiles. Check-in was super fast, and the lobby manager took the time to meticulously explain the hotel's facilities and local amenities. Later, when I returned late at night and needed assistance, they patiently helped resolve my issue. Their attitude remained exceptionally pleasant throughout, which was incredibly comforting. The entire team worked seamlessly together – professional yet incredibly friendly, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. As a tired traveler, I instantly felt at ease. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit and highly recommend the front desk team!"

"In order to take pictures of Wenhai scenery, I chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Taipei Snow Mountain Hotel. The hotel is located at the foot of the snow mountain, like a secluded manor. There are many small animals such as deer, lambs, donkeys, yaks, etc. It is very suitable for family travel. Various activities are also arranged. During the day, you can hike to pick pine cones and mushrooms, and at night, you can cook tea around the stove and learn to make butter tea. Whether you like to be alone and dazed, want to take your family on vacation, or want to take beautiful photos, Wenhai can really meet everyone's wishes~"

"How can I describe this trip? I could have stayed in the hotel for three days without feeling completely wasted. I'm so grateful to our housekeeper, Gillian, for her meticulous service. Before check-in, she thoughtfully asked if I needed airport transfers. Knowing I was driving, she also provided the best driving directions, helping me avoid difficult driving areas. While there are some gravel slopes at the entrance that can be challenging to navigate, parking is convenient, and the hotel offers valet parking and electric charging. My highlight was the breakfast and main course. The breakfast was generous, and even though I was traveling alone, they still accommodated the two-person portion listed on the breakfast voucher (in the end, I only ordered one to avoid wasting time). The restaurant's side offers a breathtaking view, perfect for any photo. Surrounded by clouds and breathtaking views, it's a relaxing and relaxing experience. If you're lucky in the evening, you might even capture a vibrant orange-pink sunset and shimmering clouds. If I return to Lijiang, I'll definitely choose this hotel again and recommend it to my friends."

"As a loyal Club Med fan (my child's tenth birthday party was even held at Club Med!), we were thrilled to run into two of the GOs from back then, Allen and Pineapple, during our current stay in Lijiang. This is actually the first time my child has ever insisted I write such a long and glowing review! Overall, we were very satisfied. Many online reviews are indeed accurate – for instance, the GO team isn't *overtly* enthusiastic as a whole, but this suited us introverts perfectly. In reality, they were incredibly responsive and accommodating whenever we needed anything. And come nightfall, they all seemed to suddenly burst into extreme extroverted energy! The evening entertainment was exceptionally well-arranged and of superb quality. There was one parody show of classic acts that had us laughing our heads off. My child absolutely adored Allen, and Darcy did a wonderful job looking after my younger daughter, making her very happy. The hotel's scenery was absolutely breathtaking – a real showstopper! The facilities were also quite good. While the dining options weren't particularly extensive, the food was quite delicious. I did bring up a few minor details, offered from the perspective of a loyal guest hoping the resort continues to improve. The Village Chief even added me on WeChat and listened patiently, which was greatly appreciated. I truly hope the resort keeps getting better and better – as a mom of two juggling two kids, there are simply too few suitable resorts out there!"

"Although the hotel has only been open for a few years, the decoration feels a bit out of date and a bit old, but the sanitation is still clean and tidy. The rest was all very good. The restaurant is very quiet and beautiful, with a beautiful garden and distinctive pavilions. The breakfast room faces Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If the weather permits, you can enjoy the view of Rizhao Jinshan. Unfortunately, there were clouds on the top of the mountain that day, so you could only see the waist of Rizhao Jinshan. The hotel has several free activities to experience. Because we did not reserve too much time in the hotel, we only experienced brewing tea around the fire. Next time I have the chance, I will definitely come to the hotel to participate in these activities again. The guys and girls in the store are very warm, caring and cute, giving us a warm accommodation experience. There were welcome fruits and desserts when checking in, and small handmade souvenirs were given when checking out. Overall, I felt satisfied."
