Luxury Hotels in Rio de Janeiro

"The hotel is about 40 minutes away from the airport by car. It is right between Ipanema and Copacabana Beach. Go downstairs and walk across the road to the beach. The sea is very soft, like the magic sand that children play with. Every employee of the hotel is very polite and will greet people warmly. The hotel's swimming pool is very beautiful. The view of the mountains and the sea outside the swimming pool is superb! ! ! We were in a daze for 2 days in the hotel and the beach at the door! Because we checked in early, we were given the last room with sea view, but my husband was more serious and changed it twice to a good sea view room. The only drawback is that the price is a bit expensive, nearly 4,000 per night. This is not the hotel's fault, but because I am poor!"

"The room layout is very warm, clean and tidy. Except for the air conditioner which makes a little loud noise, everything else is very good. I especially like the swimming pool, where I can lie down and relax in the afternoon, and drink some special cocktails in the evening, French romance, rich and unique!"

"The room balcony has a beautiful view, simple design, rich breakfast, and is also a safe area, but the hotel front desk will sell tickets and game tickets, which are more expensive than buying them yourself. Especially the game tickets: I bought them for 120 RMB, and they bought them for more than 800 RMB, just for the pick-up."

"Amazing hotel - perfect location on Ipanema beach, outstanding service, stunning pool area for sunsets & drinks. Bed quality is beautiful - I had an amazing nights sleep. While the front rooms with ocean view are bigger / better, then courtyard rooms are also good with great air conditioning, bathroom products, etc. 3rd stay here - will stay again!"

"Overall a nice trip, and a pretty fancy hotel for the price. I would consider it more like a 4**** hotel than a 5 star, personally. highlights: - beautiful lobby and view from our room of the mountains, beach, etc. - kind people at the desk and otherwise. very safe inside even though neighborhood is a bit sketchy at times. - great bed, windows, bathtub, etc.. - affordable as an american for level of service. - spa and rooftop restaurant are amazing. gym is great too! dealbreakers: (may stop me from booking next time) - wifi was basically broken the entire time in our room, and in the hotel at times. less than 10mbits, and no signal in most of our room. front desk said several times they'd fix but I don't think they have the ability to actually fix it. many other people had this issue as well. at a 5* hotel, this should not be happening. major issue, had to do meetings in the lobby to get it to function at all. - breakfast is *good* but definitely caters towards a local brazilian diet (very few options for vegans). as a vegetarian, I'll just say I ate a lot of eggs and cheese. but hey, that's brazil so not digging on the hotel too much on that. - elevator is incredibly busy, and there were times where it literally said ”not available” and we had to wait 5 minutes to actually use it. - there are *TONS* of families with kids in and around the pool when we went. so environment was quite loud and crazy most of the time. they do timeshares so I think mostly big families frequent the hotel. - we booked and paid extra for the *Junior Suite* (with a large living room as well as bath). the front desk gave us the *room with bath* which ended up being nice.. but is half the size, and refused to put us in the junior suite room, even after showing the reservation. this may be a Trip.com issue instead of the hotel.. but they didn't offer any compensation or flexibility for us. trip did refund us the difference in price though. overall, its a great deal for the price, and the architecture is amazing, the room is nice, good water pressure. horrible wifi and very few vegetarian options made it difficult to recommend again, but we liked our stay nonetheless."

"Clean hotel, but old and worn out. The elevator was very loud, even though it wasn't close to our room. We stayed here for the rooftop bar and the incredible view from above. The food and cocktails at Isabel Lounge were fantastic. The hotel offers free umbrellas, chairs and towels on the beach. My stay here was 5 days, so I had the opportunity to evaluate the breakfast.I wish there were more variety of products, Hilton is not a cheap hotel at all!"

"Overall, it is comfortable and convenient. There is a beach opposite the hotel and there are staff to maintain order. It is not bad for a vacation. But the sea view room is different from expectations, the view is as shown in the picture. The restaurant tastes good."

"If it weren't for the general manager Temborarli and Julia, I would have given it all 1's, but in the last 3 hours of my birthday, they managed to save the situation. I flew to Brazil alone to celebrate my 40th birthday and chose one of the most expensive hotels - JW Marriot, thinking that it was a cool hotel. But no. I didn't get any service or amenities, having paid a lot of money. I arrived at 10 pm (that is, the whole day was already lost, I did not live in the room) I had to live the night and 1 next day. My birthday! I go to the reception, tell them that I came to you to celebrate my birthday, I am a member of the Marriott program and have already spent more than $5,000 on your hotels in the first month of the year (I show the receptionist and explain that my birthday is coming up in 2 hours, my birthday is coming up), but (!) they put me in a room on the third floor, where you can’t open the curtains (!), because people are constantly walking past to use the elevator!! Even in the middle of the night! They are rumbling and making noise. Upset, I return to the reception and ask them to help me somehow with this situation. At the same time, I see that the room is dirty! Even the sheets are dirty!! An unpleasant man says, ”You have this room category, King room. I can't do anything. Well, I can find a higher floor.” (Was it too much to give it to him right away? A higher floor and a room not on the passage, where you can't even open the curtains, why should I run and ask!!!??? I already asked once: pay attention, it's my birthday. A birthday on which they give gifts and make surprises, congratulate!!! But apparently he is a completely incomprehensible person. (To whom I wish that no one congratulates him on his birthday this year). Then he offers me ”if you want, you can PAY EXTRA and move to another room with a different view” !!!!! I say: I DON'T WANT TO and leave. (I also wish this man a trip to another continent, the earth's hemisphere, alone, where he pays for everything, for everything himself!) My birthday is in the morning, I sleep terribly, there is no soundproofing, noises begin from 6 am ... and until the evening, until 7 pm I don't get a piece of cake, a card, nothing. (Although then I moved to the Fairmont hotel, where the waiters sang a Happy Birthday song to the birthday boy so heartily at breakfast!!! So never choose Marriott for your birthday!!! They will treat you very badly!!) I always travel for my birthday, I have already celebrated it more than 20 times in different parts of the world and in different hotels, and for the first time I encountered that I need to beg for something and remind you that it is your birthday!!! At the very end of the birthday, at 7 pm, I go to the reception and ask to call the general manager to say everything that I think about JW Marriott. Well, here Timberly moves me for 1 night to a room on a high floor with a sea view. For which I am very grateful to her. And for which I give high points in the review. And that guy who regretted upgrading so that the person would wake up happy on his birthday and continue spending money in the Marriot Bonvoy chain, and not wake up broken at 6 am because it sounded like someone was washing in his bathtub (because in that room on the 3rd floor there was unreal soundproofing, no soundproofing!!!!) I hope he will be fired!!!"

"The room is OK, not comparable to the ones in China, about 30 square meters, with a small balcony, you can see and hear the sea, the breakfast is very rich, fruits and coffee are recommended, you can go down to the beach for a walk"

"Excellent location and pleasant surroundings, however, there were leaks in the windows caused by a problem with the glass sealing (already known by the hotel, it was using duct tape to alleviate it), the noise of the leak during the night, while it was raining, was loud and irritating, I had to use towels to alleviate the noise and be able to sleep."
