Informed the receptionist who checked us in and she asked that we leave the aircon to run for a few hours and draw the curtains. Honestly she was rather unfriendly and unhelpful. Upon returning to the room in the evening, it was still stuffy and equally warm. Called the front desk and only after persistent complains and asking the hotel staff to come experience it for himself, did we manage to have the room changed. The new room was on a lower floor with a different facing but temperature in room so much much cooler and comfortable."

Around 9 PM on November 13th, exhausted from a long day of travel, I wanted to find a place to stay. I checked on Ctrip and found this Home Inn hotel nearby with a relatively good overall rating (4.8 stars). So I went to the front desk to inquire, and the staff said there was only one single room left. Trusting Ctrip, I booked room 8501 through them. Upon entering the room, I smelled smoke. I opened the door and windows to ventilate for a while and then went to sleep. Exhausted from the day, I fell asleep quickly. Around 1 AM, I got up to use the bathroom and smelled the stench of sewage. I thought I'd just bear with it and make do, so I closed the bathroom door and went back to bed. Later, I was vaguely awakened by the stench. You can imagine how awful it must have been for someone so tired from traveling to be woken up by such a strong smell. Looking at the time, it was only a little past 5 AM, so I struggled to get up, opened the windows to ventilate, and called the front desk to request a different room. The waiter moved me to room 8409. I was stunned when I entered the room: Damn! Didn't they say there was only one single room left last night? How come there's another single room? A surge of anger, feeling deceived and fooled, welled up inside me. It was the middle of the night, and I was exhausted, so I decided to go to sleep. A day has passed, and I can still smell that odor on my breath. Unable to bear it any longer, I resolutely wrote this review. Normally, when we smell bad odors, our bodies instinctively hold their breath to protect our lungs from damage. But when you're extremely tired and relaxed, exposing your body to extremely foul odors, with your respiratory system completely open, you can imagine how serious the damage to your health can be. Ctrip disregards the most basic interest of its customers—health. I'm writing this review because I no longer trust Ctrip's hotel services. I encountered the same situation once before when I traveled to Pu'er in March and had already reported it to Ctrip. While encountering the same situation again might be a coincidence, Ctrip's disregard for customer health and the hotel's deception of its customers force me to sever ties with Ctrip Hotels. It's regrettable! I know that one person is so insignificant in the face of the powerful Ctrip platform and its big data; I'm nothing. I just want more people to see this review so they don't fall into the same trap. After all, encountering something like this while traveling is incredibly frustrating—the whole trip is ruined, and you have to bear the unpredictable health consequences. "The hotel has parking and washing machines, and other facilities are quite complete. The location is excellent, right by the Nu River, with many restaurants nearby. The laundry room is on the roof, not indoors. "Environment: The hotel is built into the hillside over several levels. The parking lot is on the 3rd floor, and the lobby is on the 5th floor. The 1st floor houses the public hot spring area and independent riverside rooms. Service: The staff were very polite. Even though it was off-season and there weren't many guests, they always greeted us warmly. At breakfast, when my child wasn't feeling well, they even offered to pack up our food for us to take back to the room. Facilities: I really liked the large balcony and the outdoor private hot spring tub next to it. The water flow was very fast."
