We had a great time at Clouds on the Hills. We were picked up from the cable car station upon arrival even though the hostel is only a few hundred metres away. Turned out the steep roads on Lushan will make the short trip difficult with luggage. The location is excellent and the view exquisite. The owner also brought us to the back of the hill which is not a marked tourist spot so we can have the place all to ourselves. The room heating is excellent too, so we never felt the bitter cold wind that was blowing outside.

Yunshang Shanji is very conveniently located. You can find it just after taking the cable car up the mountain. You can go for a walk in Guling Street in the evening and go for a morning run in Ruqin Lake in the morning. The duplex parent-child suite is suitable for traveling with the family. This choice is very nice!

It's a great place to stay for a few days. The environment is quiet and peaceful, and it's only a one-minute walk from the cable car. The location is great. The restaurant in the hotel is great. The kitchen lady is clean and hygienic, and the dishes she cooks are just to my liking. She is also very kind. I ordered lunch and didn't finish it, so I casually said I would save it for dinner. The kitchen lady didn't get off work until midnight and was waiting to heat up the food for me.

Amazing

I'd call this B&B in Lushan a "dream homestay." ✨ And since it's the president of a local association, I absolutely recommend it to everyone.
🏠Location and Transportation: The B&B is right near the cable car, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel also offers free shuttle service, and the bus transfer is a mere 2-3 minutes' walk away, making it super convenient to get to attractions like Wulao Peak and Sandiequan. Getting around is easy and convenient.
💁♂️Service: The owner is very talkative, cultured, and approachable. He introduced us to local attractions and treated us to high mountain mist tea. Welcome fruit and unlimited sweet soup are available at the front desk. Guests staying at the hotel also receive a free pottery session, and for an additional fee, you can burn paper and have it delivered to your home. It's a truly thoughtful touch.
🌳Garden: The B&B's small courtyard is a true treasure! Well-equipped, Japanese-style, and charming. Sitting in the courtyard for breakfast, the mountain breeze washes away all worries—perfect for relaxing. 🥐Dining: Their farmhouse dishes are incredible. I tried two soups, both of which were absolutely amazing: the stewed pheasant with stone ear mushrooms and the stewed pork ribs with dried cuttlefish. The aunt simmered them over low heat, making them incredibly flavorful. The stir-fried beef and celery were also delicious, and the mixed rice noodles for breakfast were also tasty. I highly recommend trying them. Tip: Book half a day in advance.
🐶: The highlight is the owner's adorable little dog, named Taxue (Taxue) because all four of her paws are red. She's very affectionate and loves me, just as I love her. I'll definitely go back to see her someday.
I sincerely recommend everyone visiting Lushan to try this B&B. Trust me, one stay and you'll love it!

This was my first time staying at a B&B in Shanji, and I was very satisfied overall. 🥰 Regarding the service: The owner personally picked me up and dropped me off, helped with my luggage, and during my stay, I encountered the staff, the owner, and his wife downstairs. They all greeted me warmly. They even offered me a sample of local tea cakes. I also tried pottery, and the teacher was very gentle and attentive. Although the finished product wasn't very pretty, the experience was wonderful! There was also a cute snow-walking puppy at the B&B. Since I wasn't familiar with the area, the owner was very attentive and explained it to me. Cleanliness was also very good, with staff cleaning regularly. The breakfast was also delicious. When they saw I hadn't eaten at noon, they enthusiastically invited me to join them.
Regarding the environment: The B&B is beautiful overall, and the scenery behind the mountain is spectacular.
Facilities: Overall, good.
If you're planning a trip to Lushan and want to consider a B&B, consider this.
This is my personal experience.

What a beautiful B&B! Tastefully clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to see the sea of clouds from the courtyard. If you don't want to go out at night, you can leave the kids to play in the pottery gallery. We sat in the lobby and watched Love on Mount Lushan. The owner was very kind and patient. He planned our itinerary and even treated us to seasonal green tea—genuine high mountain mist tea. I heard he also has a tea plantation where he picks and processes tea leaves. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in Gaodi.

Response from Property: Thank you for your comments and affirmation. We will continue to work hard to provide every guest with a comfortable, pleasant and wonderful stay experience!
Let me talk about my experience of staying here, as a reference for family members who will travel later:
1. We stayed for two nights on July 12th and July 13th. Because my boyfriend mistakenly thought that he had booked for two nights, a series of problems and situations occurred later. The first time we booked Yungui (618 yuan) on Ctrip, when we entered the room, we found that the room was on the third floor and the innermost one (much like a converted warehouse), and there was a musty smell inside, and there were two rooms on the wall. There are large pieces of moldy white fur and only a small window. It can be said that there is no sunlight and the ventilation is not good! Although this room is large, how can anyone live in it? So we immediately contacted the front desk of the store to change our room.
2. Since this kind of room is simply unlivable, I contacted the front desk and the staff said that I could adjust it to Yunhan, but I needed to add another 50 yuan to change the room (excuse me? Your room smells musty and there are moldy patches on the wall). Do we need to add another 50 yuan to change? ) Since it was very late at 10pm, one more thing would be better than one less thing, so we had no choice but to change rooms for ➕50 yuan. Then we moved to Yunhan. It should be said that the room was much smaller, but at least there was no musty smell! (PS: Unexpected surprise!!! The balcony door was broken and could not be closed, but the front desk staff repaired it after knocking it with a hammer a few times)
Since I have trouble waking up and am born after 1995, we planned to sleep until we woke up naturally the next morning, but who knew? ? The cleaning lady started cleaning at around eight o'clock. She knocked on the door in each room and asked if anyone was there. She should not say anything, but the soundproofing of this room was really bad! Moreover, the front desk staff was calling loudly at around 8 o'clock, presumably to take a video of the room for those who hadn't checked in yet! May I ask if you yourself don’t know that the sound insulation of your B&B is poor? So loud? ? ? Are you afraid that no one at the bottom of the mountain can hear you?
3. When we moved to Yunhan that night, my boyfriend thought we had booked for 2 nights, so he thought the room change fee was only 50 for two nights, but who knew? After the front desk collected the money, because the boyfriend told him that he had stayed for two nights when he checked in, they called and said that the Yunhan room they had booked for tomorrow night had been booked by someone else, and then there were no other rooms left, and they only had a room rate of 700 yuan upwards, because I have a lot of things. At that time, everything in my suitcase was laid out on the table, and all the clothes I washed that day were washed. If I put the clothes in the suitcase the next day, they would smell bad and I wouldn’t be able to wear them.
Emmmm, we are helpless and can only exchange it for Yunshui for 796 yuan. Fortunately, at this time, the front desk staff (before this, we called the front desk staff and had an argument with us. The specific reason was that the 50 yuan was only the cost of changing the room due to mold). Maybe the conscience noticed? We were only charged 700 yuan for Yunshui room fee privately.
4. We decided to watch the sunrise on the morning of July 14th. After watching the sunrise, we were so sleepy that we exploded. Who knew? (This room in Yunhan is at the entrance of the stairs, which is also the entrance and exit.) There are especially many children during the summer vacation. From about 7 o'clock in the morning until we left, the child screamed and ran. Watching TV requires turning the sound to the maximum, even with the door open. watch TV? I wonder what parents do for food? The staff at this B&B did nothing!
Finally, I finally left this place of right and wrong, what a waste of money!
Today (I didn’t dare to contact Ctrip customer service directly at that time because I was afraid of what they might do, and I still have to protect my own safety outside), I asked my boyfriend to contact Ctrip customer service and inquire about the 50 yuan charge, and the merchant later refunded the money. We (we told the customer service that it was the room upgrade fee, not that their room was moldy and uninhabitable, so they moved us)
The following is part of the chat record with the staff of the B&B (P S: This evaluation is for reference only. As for whether it is useful to your family, you can make your own decision.)
