My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay at this gem of a BnB!! Our innkeeper, Art, was thoughtful, attentive, and informative. He texted us a few days before arrival about things happening in the area during our dates of stay. He kept in touch via text on our arrival day regarding arrival time and parking. regaled us with stories of his many interesting travels and was extremely knowledgeable about local restaurants and must sees. We had amazing breakfasts including a corn crab quiche from the bakery across the street, lovely pastries and bread and fruit. We were offered an assortment of smoothies and beverages. One morning, he even walked across the street to pick up just-baked cinnamon rolls from the bakery and served them to us still warm! The rooms were nice and clean. The bedding was comfy. Great porch and deck areas to enjoy an evening cocktail. We enjoyed eating at Chops, the steakhouse next door, and Mimslyn Inn. We had a fantastic weekend going to wineries and exploring Luray. We would definitely return.

Great place for a weekend getaway We really enjoyed our brief stay. Hosts Janine, Matthew, and Larry were wonderful. They catered to our every need and offered great recommendations. Our room had a huge whirlpool tub that was perfect after a long day of hiking. All in all a delightful place located near hiking, distilleries, wineries, and tons of other things.

Home away from home Janina and Matthew were the perfect hosts. We quickly felt like old friends. The Inn was just what we were looking for and was the perfect base of operations for exploring Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive) and the surrounding valley area. Lurray was a friendly and quaint village. The inn was historic, architectural pleasing, clean, and breakfast was consistently excellent, including the conversations that helped up organize our day and appreciate the beautiful area that we were visiting. We will stay there again.

We had an excellent time at the Inn of the Shenandoah. We celebrated a long anniversary weekend in Luray and the surrounding areas. Art, our host, was very helpful with his suggestions and was very hospitable and we certainly felt at home. The Inn itself was charming, clean, and spacious. Highly recommend.

Good location. Great place to stay. Our host, Art, was wonderful. He shared his knowledge of the area, which saved us time and pointed us in the right direction. Breakfast was great every day and the house is worth staying in. Would happily book again.

My husband and I took a spur of the moment get away to Luray. The Inn was clean and had a relaxing atmosphere. Art was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to help us have the best experience. We received a special treat when Linda, Art's sister, stopped by on her travels. She was very sweet and cooked an amazing breakfast casserole! He is very knowledgeable with the surrounding area from hiking trails, areas of interests to restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed our stay!
