The breakfast was great.Many choices and the place was also nice.

Stayed here for three nights in a deluxe rom. Beautiful historic building right on the main street Storgatan in downtown Luleå. The room was large and comfortable enough, but small TV. However, the cleaning of the room was poor. The wine and water glasses in our room were so, so dirty, could not use them. One day the housekeeping staff forgot to refill tee and coffee and also "forgot" to clean the bathroom! Only one restaurant option in this hotel, which is the gastro pub. Obviously a very popular spot for locals, so make sure you make a reservation if you want a table there - the food was O.K, but service not polite or professional at all, we would never go back there for this reason. Breakfast was good with great variety and served in a beautiful ball room. A perfectly O.K hotel for the price paid (probably the best in Luleå), but also with plenty of room for improvement!

Nice looking building and basic, spacious rooms. Only one person at front desk, so had to wait. She worked hard though. Kids enjoyed the bathtub, and it was clean. There is something in the air, so if you have past experience of symptoms from the air quality, maybe choose another hotel. This is why we are not going back.

This hotel is right in the centre of Lulea and it’s a great base for exploring the area. The breakfast is particularly good, a huge selection of freshly prepared food in a lovely room. It has private enclosed parking which is extra and has to be booked in advance. Very important if travelling in the winter months.

I set out today for the Elite Lulea Hotel, hoping for a warmer welcome - nothing much, perhaps just a member of staff making eye contact with me, or even trying to smile. No luck. I made my way to my room. I was trying not to alarm anyone, so I walked in the local style, very, very slowly, eyes down, like someone on his way to be executed. 😞 My room was rather cold, but there was a fireplace ! A huge one ! No fire. Nothing... Except for four candles. Big candles, though. I lit them. The radiators were off, so I went to call for help. It took me some time to find the telephone. It was on a window sill, behind a curtain. I pushed a number of keys, and eventually hit the right one " Could I speak to a manager ? " I asked "'He's not here " " Could I speak to an assistant manager, then " " There isn't one " " There's no manager at all ?! " " No, there's only me " (This is a hotel that has 159 rooms...) " Thank you " I said " No problem " Later a Swede expains to me that the hotel cannot switch its radiators on. Apparently this has to be done by someone employed by the local council, who works in another part of the town, and who gets to turn on all the radiators in the town at the same time. Although, of course, it takes a season or two for them to warm up... Great location..... Fantastic views... All staff extremely helpful... Great place to stay whether business or pleasure... Just an overall great place to stay with great service, as always included... Would recommend Elite Hotels always...
