Garden & City Evian - Lugrin

All good except breakfast All was good. Only breakfast was only based on starchesc sugar and dairies so very poor. They had no eggs or anything similar very simple to prepare

Unfortunately, our stay at Garden & City Lugrin was terrible. I consider it the worst travel experience (business & leisure) I have ever had. (1) Unfriendly welcome with staff at the reception being bold, non-welcoming and hurried (2) Much smaller studio than on the pictures on the website (both living/sleeping room and bath room) - Not comparable (3) Filthy apartment (e.g. bathroom) with most prominent issues (i) hair of previous residents in bathroom, (ii) mould in the shower and (iii) mould in the toilet (4) Kitchen equipment not functioning well, e.g. warped pan, vinegar in the electric kettle and dirty smells from the extractor (5) Rude treatment at the reception upon notifying the staff of the complaints as listed above. Statement: 'We are fully booked and cannot do anything'. Basically, we got told to go help ourselves and our issues were not the problem of the reception staff. Unacceptable. After the very unpleasant discussion at the reception, I sent a mail with my complaints. I got a quick reaction with a discount (30%) being offered. We accepted the discount, however, unfortunately I still had the feeling afterwards I was being conned. The discountw as being paid back quite late, implying that we effectively we received it back ca. 1,5 week after our stay. Was very happy when we could leave the accomodation and would not recommend staying at Garden & City Lugrin to anyone.

The only good thing was the view! The apartment was much smaller than appear in the photos, and not well equipped. You also have to clean it before you leave as they threaten you with fines. If you wish to meet the most obnoxious reception staff on the planet, then this is your place. You have to pay €250 deposit on arrival, (which I don’t have a problem with), but I had to wait 4 days for them to release it after departing, by which time I arrived home. When I rang to enquire about it, the awful woman lied and told me they didn’t have it, even though my bank confirmed they hadn’t released the block they had put on it. It’s extremely overpriced and avoid at all costs

Wonderful walking opportunities' from the site or by quick car ride. Ideal for walkers and for winter ski resort A restaurant would have been nice at night or a bar as there is nothing local and if you have not been to the supermarket before arriving you could be left desperate

Nice surroundings. My 1 chamber apartment needed an update: bathroom was out-dated, drain of the bath was working poorly. Toiletroom had a urine smell. The rooms were very noisy. The floor of the neighbours above me was making a cracking sound when they just walked in a normal way on it. Loud and noisy refrigerator (annoying during the night when you have to sleep in the same room) You need a car to see the surroundings. No shops nearby. Swimming pool was very nice. A lot of free parking space. Very nice view over the lake of Leman/Geneva with a very nice sunset.
