Garden & City Evian - Lugrin

Superior apartment in very bad condition Common areas (pool, tennis court, etc) were very nice. Our apartment was however not fit for being rented out: the bathroom smelled like sewer the entire time, most of the floor boards were misaligned for large gaps in between - just to mention a few things. In short the “superior” apartment we rented was simply not fit for being rented out. It should have been redone many years ago.

Acceptable Acceptable. En revanche on est resté sans wifi pendant trois jours ce qui m’a engendré du hors forfait ! Un conseil : n’oubliez pas de désactiver les données à l’étranger de votre mobile car le réseau détecté dans le logement c’est le réseau suisse. Un séjour pas loin des stations de ski, Thollon-les-Mémises (12min) et BERNEX (25min).

Unfortunately, our stay at Garden & City Lugrin was terrible. I consider it the worst travel experience (business & leisure) I have ever had. (1) Unfriendly welcome with staff at the reception being bold, non-welcoming and hurried (2) Much smaller studio than on the pictures on the website (both living/sleeping room and bath room) - Not comparable (3) Filthy apartment (e.g. bathroom) with most prominent issues (i) hair of previous residents in bathroom, (ii) mould in the shower and (iii) mould in the toilet (4) Kitchen equipment not functioning well, e.g. warped pan, vinegar in the electric kettle and dirty smells from the extractor (5) Rude treatment at the reception upon notifying the staff of the complaints as listed above. Statement: 'We are fully booked and cannot do anything'. Basically, we got told to go help ourselves and our issues were not the problem of the reception staff. Unacceptable. After the very unpleasant discussion at the reception, I sent a mail with my complaints. I got a quick reaction with a discount (30%) being offered. We accepted the discount, however, unfortunately I still had the feeling afterwards I was being conned. The discountw as being paid back quite late, implying that we effectively we received it back ca. 1,5 week after our stay. Was very happy when we could leave the accomodation and would not recommend staying at Garden & City Lugrin to anyone.

It was good and got value for money. Surrounded by trees. Lovely little pool. Breakfast is available but need to be booked a day before.

Wonderful walking opportunities' from the site or by quick car ride. Ideal for walkers and for winter ski resort A restaurant would have been nice at night or a bar as there is nothing local and if you have not been to the supermarket before arriving you could be left desperate
