"The hotel has a great location, right by the lake. If you have luggage, it's best to take bus number 4 directly from the train station to the hotel, as the train station is on a hilltop, and the hotel is a 650-meter downhill walk. The hotel staff at the front desk are exceptionally kind, very welcoming and attentive; importantly, the male staff are handsome and the female staff are beautiful. After check-in, remember to ask the hotel reception for a free public transport card, as they need to register your information and print it out, then you can ride the bus freely. The hotel breakfast is good, especially the window seats with a pleasant lake view. In such a beautiful setting as Lugano, taking a walk along the lake, enjoying the sunshine with relaxed locals, staying in such a historic and wonderful hotel, and meeting such wonderful people is truly a fantastic experience."

"I stayed at Best Western Hotel Bellevue au Lac for just one night, but it was a truly pleasant experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was spotless, and the location was perfect—right by the lake with beautiful views. The food was delicious, and overall, everything exceeded my expectations. I’d definitely love to return for a longer stay next time!"

"I booked suite room with baby. They just gave us the super far away room and the bathroom light is not working. I asked to fix it before I went to dinner 7:30pm after finish the dinner and get back to room 9pm they still not fix the lighting. It took mechanic some time to have a look but the baby need to took shower and went to bed so we have to shower with the room dim. Later they offer to change the room but told us the room is super far way from the late night!!!! When the baby already slept! The reception said they will offer some compensation. On the next day we checked out the lady in the reception is very rude! No apology and no compensation. On the rainy day I asked the shuttle service to the nearest train station, she just so rude answer with no service provided because of road closure. But if I want the Taxi she can call for the service! No logic at all. Anyway dont recommend to stay to destroy your vacation. I have the management will look into the policies."

The spa was very, very good and all of the facilities at the luxury hotel were extremely good. We were fortunate enough to get upgraded, and the view from our balcony across the lake was spectacular. The mountains, the scenery. Everything was very, very beautiful except for the rain."

"I arranged my trip at very short notice, arrived very late, but Luca was there to welcome me to his Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and when my lift to the Airport didn’t arrive due to a landslide on the main road from Milan to Lugano, Luca offered to take me, without which, I would not have made my Flight home. In short, excellent location, great value for money and a perfect host!"

"Luganodante definitely like you (us)! Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Room is clean and cosy. Had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant/bistro - flame grill - awesome service! The only regret was staying there for just one night, wish we had stayed longer. Will definitely choose to stay at Luganodante again if we are back. Thank you team! IMPORTANT TIP: please take the funicular - Lugano Città - from the Lugano Stazione to the hotel (just stop outside the hotel, very convenient). If feeling adventurous, proceed to enjoy the walk/hike down to the hotel from the station."

"On the day of the trip, my 4-year-old son had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius and was diagnosed by the pediatrician with scarlet fever, a contagious disease, meaning he cannot have contact with other people for at least 48 hours. Since the morning, I requested a cancellation without charge as an exception due to the situation, but the hotel didn't even respond to my messages. I called twice, and the first time the attendant said she couldn't help me and asked me to call back to speak to the manager. When I called, the attendant informed me that the manager did not accept my cancellation. I said I could send the pediatrician's certificate, but there was no flexibility. Not only do I have a sick child, but I also canceled a much-anticipated trip and still had to pay CHF 220. I found this lack of sensitivity and flexibility absurd (I offered to reschedule for another weekend). It shows me a lot about how the property is managed."

"I stayed in this hotel for five nights in Lugano. The hotel is in a good location. It is a five-minute walk to the lake. Next to the hotel is bus No. 2, which can go to Lugano Railway Station. The breakfast is Western-style and the fruit and bread are good. The hotel is also quiet. If you go to Lugano, you can choose this hotel."

"If you're a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this place might not be for you. It's right by a busy street, so expect constant traffic noise that can easily disturb sleep. However, the natural surroundings are lovely – the lake is just across the road below, and you'll even spot early morning joggers before sunrise. For light sleepers, keeping the windows closed, running the AC, and having earplugs handy could help."
