I stayed here for a couple days and when I say the professionalism is awful here. I’d rate my stay a solid 2/10. The 2 would come from the room being very nice and the food being good as well. However, the security guys at the pool, the entertainment guys, the lifeguards must’ve all gotten their training at sexual harassment central. I wouldn’t recommend for any woman traveling alone or even as a group. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone. It even took a whole day of calling, eventually having to go down to the front desk for them to even restock the mini fridge. Awful service.

We spent 12 nights at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in August 2025, here is what I feel is a fair and honest review of our experience as a family of four with two young daughters (4 & 8). We did have a fantastic time during our stay which I will come on to later, however it was not all smooth sailing with the main points of issue being at either end of the stay. We checked in around 21:30 (Jamaica time) having left Heathrow at 15:45 (UK time) , we had been up since around 5am due to our youngest not sleeping and having a ton of things to sort before we left - almost 24 hours. Check in was friendly, although we were not offered a welcome drink which I saw almost everyone else receive later in the week at check in. Check I'm was friendly and efficient which was partly due to me checking in online prior to arrival. We were given the details and asked to sign the lengthy Ts & Cs which were presented in Spanish, which meant we couldn't read them even if we wanted to (they claimed they weren't able to change this). We were given our bands and then waited for our buggy to take us to our room with our four heavy suitcases. Unfortunately with our two young children being shattered, waiting 15 minutes before a buggy arrived wasn't ideal. When we arrived at the room none of the four key card wristbands worked, and the baggage porter has to let us in with his card. They had made the sofa bed up with sheets and left fresh fruit, however they had not given us any additional pillows (only two between four people, same with towels) I went to call reception on the phone but this didn't work. I ended up walking to reception (5-10 mins) to ask for pillows/towels etc and have my wristband enabled. I was told they would be sent right away, got back to the room -wristband now worked. Waited 45 minutes, no pillows/towels so walked back to reception and they couldn't understand why these hadn't been sent. So I said I would prefer to wait and be given them, I waited for another hour at reception before the night manager came on duty and promised to bring them personally, I went back to the room and he arrived with them in 15 minutes but having to wait 2 hours for some pillows and towels that should have been in the room in the first place was not ideal especially given how shattered I was. I went to bed and was woken up 20 mins later by a knock at the door... a guy had turned up with 2 pillows. Next day we got all our wristbands working and they fixed the phone, they compensated us with resort credit of $100 which we were told could not be used at the spa (more on that later) We had a stunning breakfast at Blue Lagoon and coffee Miss Lou's before since we were up early due to the jet lag. I have to say that my overall experience of the food at the resort was graded B+, its not Michelin star but I think you have to be very fussy if you can't find something you like. We ate at all the a la carte restaurants and our favourite was the hibachi in the Asian restau

We spent a week at grand palladium jamaica as a family of 7 that included 2 kids under age 10, and 2 seniors. We booked connecting rooms which provided us with flexible options where everyone had a bed. They try to make the app essential to your experience and I agree that it is helpful but other family members didn’t use it. I use most hotel apps when on site, and found this one to be lacking common features. You can’t communicate with the hotel through it. No chat, and no way to request service or resort shuttles. It gets 3 stars. Food: our best meal was at the Jamaican a la cart. Damian at the xamaca restaurant was fun and efficient- great service and food. We had oxtail, curry goat and beef patties with coco bread. The El Dorada steakhouse was fine. Good service. We tried filet mignon, pumpkin soup, and lamb chops. We only ate buffets for lunch and breakfast. Staff were attentive but not as friendly as staff we met in a La cart restaurants. Rooms: Housekeeping does a great job in common areas and public bathrooms. However there could be a towel shortage or laundry issue on the Jamaica side because we never got wash cloths replaced after day 1, and one housekeeper said she didn’t have any. We never had enough for everyone in our shared room to have one. Shower gel in bathroom is not great, it’s thin and bright purple. I would recommend you bring soap, luckily we did, but I wished I had brought a body poof for showers. Mini bar wasn’t restocked as expected. Mini bar is only beer and sodas and not many beers. Bars are plentiful but drinks are weak and liquor is cheap. I thought about adding the premium package but we bought a bottle for our room instead. Bottles of liquor are over $100 in the gift shop, but at the airport if you need it. Shuttles are hard to get. We had to roll our luggage back to the lobby after waiting 20 mins for a bellhop shuttle. Entertainment: The People of Palladium entertainment is my favorite element of this resort since leaving to have a night out is not much of an option on a family trip. They have fun nightly events and set the party mood. We went to a live reggae band performance on the beach that was great. There were musicians in the infinity bar nightly and events such as karaoke with a live band. Seating is limited and should be improved for their terrace. There is not a club on site which I’m OK with but some in our group would have preferred that. I witnessed an unfortunate accident at the beach with a boat pulling people on an inflatable sofa. I would not put my family’s safety in the hands of the water sports staff. I think this is true for most resorts and don’t think it’s unique to grand palladium. I don’t know if these people are employed by the resorts. Gym: I went to the gym 3 times. I did bootcamp with Richard and had a great time. I was surprised that the only way to know they offered classes was to check the app. Classes would be better attended if signs were posted in the gym for the w

I have written to you twice on your email address for the hotel, asking for an update with regard to how many restaurants are now open and what the dress code is for men with regard to long trousers in the restaurant. To date you have not replied, hence the reason for providing a low marking on this review. Hopefully you may take the time to respond to me here.
