We do not recommend Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Lubbock Southwest at (**** 50th Street). The worst Marriott we have ever seen. Apparently, the thermostat is on a “motion sensor”. After requesting another room, we quickly found that it didn’t really matter because it still took 5 hours to cool our room. The thermostat is controlled by the hotel so if you want to sleep well stay somewhere else. Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were lumpy, and toilet overflowed. Musty rooms. Hotel needs a major update. Emailed the front desk, with no response. Marriot should be embarrassed to be associated with these owners at this location. And the whole “I had to give them one star because zero stars wasn’t an option” is so true in this instance.

I am a frequent Marriott customer, and this is the best Fairfield Inn that I have stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the property was very impressive. Room was large, well equipped and very clean. The breakfast room was spacious and clean. In addition to a large outdoor pool, there was an outdoor sitting area with a fireplace. Will stay here again when in Lubbock, and based upon this experience will try other Fairfield Inns. Highly recommend.

One of the much better hotels we've stayed at in Lubbock. Only complaint was that the carpet was coming apart from the tack ***** and stabbed my foot when walking barefoot. Very clean, very kind staff.

I had someone come in my room in the middle of the night. The hotel must have given someone the wrong room but not only did it scare me but it ruined my sleep and entire stay. Then my room key wouldn't work and the attendant up front would not replace the key and said I already checked out.

Are little kids not allowed here?
Great location, close to everything on the west end. Super frustrating, though, that they don’t offer cribs, pack-n-plays or anywhere for a baby to sleep like every other hotel in Lubbock (or anywhere) we have stayed…really wish we would have known that booking here and traveling with a baby.

Traveled with my daughter. The staff was incredible and very friendly. The hotel was clean and we felt safe. I would stay here again.
