Hotel Distil, Autograph Collection

Great location near my companies' office. Enjoyed the bar service and the emasculate rooms at the hotel. Will definitely stay again.

As we walked in we felt under dressed as most of the other guests were dressed to the nines. However, the hotel staff greeted us like we were the most important client they had that day. The nightly 1933 toast was very unique and quite fun. The attached restaurant, Repeal, was top notch for a quick appetizer at the bar or a drink to review the day. The food was amazing, we only wish we would have had time to sit there for their dinner menu as they are supposed to be one of the best steak houses in town. The preservation of the original outside architecture was a nice combination with the modern interior.

The hotel was really nice, as was the hotel staff (from valet, to front desk, baggage and housekeeping). Our room was clean and had enough towels and a few amenities. The Nespresso didn't work, but not a big deal. We were disappointed we couldn't access the Bitters End rooftop bar due to a private event, and it was one of the reasons we booked the room. The nightly toast at 7:33 p.m. was a fun experience. It's a prime location, and we were able to easily walk or take a quick Uber to some really great distilleries. The music they play in the lobby is great!

My husband and I spent a night here on our anniversary , and it was an amazing experience . We were greeted by name and were wished a Happy Anniversary upon entering . Our room was so very cool and fit the industrial “masculine” vibe of Whiskey Row. We enjoyed dinner out at a near by restaurant ,and came back for a drink at the hotel bar; although, they were very busy with what seemed to be people who came from a wedding we were served quickly snd the bar staff were working their tails off to keep everyone happy. We did enjoy a delicious brunch at the hotel restaurant before heading out. I highly reccomend the Crab Cake Benedict ! We had wonderful service, and were made to feel very special .

This hotel is a complete letdown. It’s definitely not a 4-star hotel, and the only saving grace is the valet staff. They were exceptional throughout our stay and deserve a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service completely ruined the experience. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the noise from the restaurant Repeal, which is right next door and connected to the hotel lobby. The rushed and stressful entrance made us feel unwelcome. The room was poorly designed and uncomfortable. The drawer space was minimal, and the refrigerator was placed in front of the full-length mirror, blocking our view. The bathroom trash can had to be stored in the entryway or on the vanity shelf, and there was a bench and an armchair that completely crowded the room. The hanging space in the closet was poorly thought out, with everything hung from front to back instead of side to side, making it impossible to see anything. The bathroom door frequently got stuck or sounded like it might shatter when opened. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, and the doors to the rooms slammed shut throughout the night. The housekeeping service was appalling. They never replaced any of the “complimentary” items, including towels, ice liners, or sheets. They even left our dirty glasses in the room and didn’t provide us with clean ones at night. To make matters worse, we had accidentally booked the wrong number of nights, which we considered a fortunate coincidence. We were relieved to finally get away and could have extended our stay, but we decided it wasn’t worth the additional cost and drove to Asheville to stay at a beautiful Kimpton hotel that offered exceptional service and amenities. As a Marriott cardholder, I’m deeply disappointed with this experience. It has made me seriously consider canceling my card and switching to an IGH branded card.

Staying at Hotel Distil is always a treat. Nice decor, clean, and great food. The valet parking experience is wonderful, all thanks to LuLu - she is incredibly kind and energetic every morning and quick to grab my car with care.
