Courtyard Longview North

This is a.standard Marriott property, and it is nice. Staff is also polite and helpful. But there is a serious problem with noise of toilet flushing or water draining from the room above. I have never experienced this ever at any hotel. This might be a construction flow that may not be curable. But it is highly disturbing. You feel like at any time water will pour on you from the ceiling. We were in second floor. If you do stay, choose a room on the top floor.

Well kept, friendly, quiet and comfortable! I travel often and Marriott hotels vary in quality. This one is doing things right! Clean, all outlets work, shower and amenities all great. Cold A/C. Keep up the good work and I’ll be back again and again.

I should have left this review months ago as I have stayed here many times and will continue to do so well into the future. The staff at this hotel are on point! I can honestly say I PREFER this hotel over the Hilton Garden Inn down the street mostly due to the staff. I am always welcomed with a smile, they are so very accommodating, very conversational and very helpful. I am a traveling consultant and sometimes I have to ask for a rate adjustment to assure I am getting the correct room rate based on Employer contracted rate, that is never a problem, again, always helpful. Today upon check out, the manager had to correct my rate, no problems it was done without my knowledge and receipt emailed to me perfect! The rooms are always clean, the beds are comfortable, bathrooms are nice (lights could be brighter for us ladies applying makeup hint, hint), the food downstairs has always been very tasteful, location is perfect. Target is right beside the hotel, Starbucks across the street and restaurants all around. My husband and I travel quite a bit for both work and pleasure and have stayed in a lot of hotels, this one stands out to me as far as customer service. Well done Longview, well done!

Staying here right now for a Christmas visit. The lobby area reeks of gas, which I was told was due to issue with a burner in the kitchen. That was two days ago. The smell has intensified since. We're due to stay a couple more days but I'm prepared to pull us out early if it isn't fixed. We're on the top floor so we're away from it but there's no way that's healthy for the guests or staff on the first two floors. The hotel itself is fine. Check-in desk attendant was kind and professional. No rating for housekeeping since we haven't had any yet. It's an every-other-day turndown service with a day off for Christmas. The walls are a little thin but nothing worth complaining about. But the gas thing. That needs to be fixed. Yesterday.

The hotel’s is close to Texas and Louisiana border a short drive off I-20. It is located a short distance from shopping and dining. We checked in late and left early, so we didn’t get to experience the amenities. Our room was clean and pleasant for us to get a good night’s rest. The front desk staff was friendly.

This hotel appears to be brand new. The rooms are nice and spacious and there’s even a 24 hour Starbucks. BUT … the walls are PAPER THIN. Clear across the room I could hear hallway conversations word for word. Same with the room next door. The footsteps from the people above us were so loud, as was the plumbing. We heard the whoosh of water constantly throughout the night. Not sure what’s going on, but I’m not the only one to mention this in a review. Maybe it’s only certain rooms. Such a shame, because otherwise the hotel was great. Centrally located and everything.

The rooms and facilities were newish and nice. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Great little bar with TVs and plenty of seating. Used the gym a couple times. Not a ton of equipment but definitely enough to fit in a decent little workout. It’s also very close to tons of restaurant and shopping. Will definitely stay here next time I visit family in Longview.

The location is great: near a shopping area with convenient chain stores like Target and Starbucks. Parking was easy and the lot seemed well-lit and there were security cameras. The staff at the Check-In Desk were competent and very friendly. The Hotel was clean, Decor was pretty and the Beds, Towels & Pillows were all comfortable. Only downside was I could hear water rushing through the pipes inside the wall when I was sitting in bed. Other than a little noise, it was an excellent stay and I’d stay there again.

We traveled to the Longview area for business and were very pleased with our stay. The check-in process was extremely smooth and Kayla Smith, the manager and agent who helped us was personable and professional. She provided a wealth of knowledge regarding events that were upcoming for the weekend, in addition to things to do in the area in general. I wanted to take a bottle of wine to a friend we would be visiting in Tennessee when we left the hotel. Kayla suggested a store that was about four blocks away stating that it had an excellent selection. She was right, and the friend enjoyed a fine Texas vintage. The Bistro restaurant staff member we spoke to the evening of our arrival was also very helpful and knowledgeable regarding area brews. The next morning I purchased a danish and a cold blended coffee beverage from the Bistro that was not a standard option. The attendant working that morning took on the challenge and made a great tasting beverage. Finally, our room was clean and our sleep was comfortable. The common areas of the hotel were clean as well. Our stay was even more enjoyable due to several restaurant and shopping options being within walking distance or within a short drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The staff is wonderful and the hotel environment is pleasant.
