Oceanview Inn at the Arch

Beautiful view, steps away from the beach.

We checked into the hotel around 5pm left to go hang out and shop around came back around 10pm. Was hanging out on the bed for about 30 min to an hour and felt something crawling on me. Turns out it was bed bugs. Started seeing them everywhere. Went down to the front desk to notify the agent. She was really sweet about it Nd switched us from 304 to a double queen. We immediately checked the new room, showered and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Next day we found another bed bug in our 1 month old son’s carseat. We went home and stripped the carseat apart to get everything washed. This was definitely not an ideal stay. I really hope a refund is issued. 3rd party or not they need to contact them and let them know the situation. Absolutely disgusting!!!

We were in town visiting family during the 4th of July weekend. The room was clean and adequate for our needs. We had a great view of the fireworks from our window. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is convenient to everything from town to the beach. It is a bit of a walk to the beach, but it appears to be that way everywhere.

Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. The staff was friendly. The ocean views were a sliver through the trees. Perhaps the 3rd floor had better views. Close to restaurants - walkable. Close to the beach.

We brought our dogs, room was very clean. Was a last minute trip,would stay here again. Front desk was very accommodating as well as the hosts, an easy text away if we had any questions! Bathroom was clean and well lit.

Went for 2 nights. Had a room on the first floor, front is facing the parking and the back had also windows which is nice. You only don’t get a view because it’s on the first floor. Room was renovated recently (some room were also being under renovations when visited). Job seemed to have been done quick though: faucet looks nice, but is really not well designed (either goes everywhere on the counter, either splashes on you), shower had low pressure, caulking was done quick and floor tiles on the bathroom are already moving because of the water excess! Room itself is ok, size is good, pillows and bed comfortable. Room was mostly clean, except for the floor (you only had to walk 5 secs barefoot to notice the color under the feet…). Location is great ! Next to the arch, easy to walk to the beach and all stuff to do in town.

PROS: The room was very clean, the bed and pillow and linens were comfortable (bed a bit on the hard side for me and with springs which I am not used to but acceptable). Appears they have remodeled at some point recently. The location is excellent as it is right in the little (tiny) town and on the road to the beach. The heater was better than any other motel I have stayed in, it actually regulated well and didn't cause me to wake up feeling like someone stuffed my head with cotton, also it was not loud. The view was better than I had expected. My reservation said no view, and I thought that meant I would be only seeing like the parking lot, but it just meant no ocean view and that is because it was on the first floor. The view (even from the cheap seats) was still really lovely as the exterior is all seagrass and little pine trees. It was also very quiet, but keep in mind it was a cold weekend in March and there were not a lot of people there. CONS: The only negative is they use bleach to clean, A LOT of bleach. I am glad they clean but the smell was so overwhelming when I entered the room that my eyes burned and I had to leave the windows open (temp in the 40s) for a couple of hours to get the smell out. There are other, just as effective, less toxic cleaning methods they might want to consider. NEUTRAL: The room is VERY basic, not in a bad way just bare bones. There is vinyl plank flooring which I love and hate. I am sure it contributes to a cleaner room than carpet but it's also cold and in this case cheap and was popping up a bit at all the seams.

When we stay at the ocean, we like a view. Our view consisted of sand dunes and a clump of trees. The water was out there somewhere! Due to stormy weather, there wasn't much of a sunset. That being said, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a well-stocked kitchenette. The location can not be beat

We were plenently suprised at the room here. Longbeach being an old vacation area we expected a much older apearing building. The room was of nice size, two queens with a table and two chairs. Also had a microwave and refergerator. Nice to have the sink, toilet, and tubshower all in a private room. I normally don't shave and brush my teeth in my bedroom. Located a block away from the highway and had a beach access about 300 ft. Would return.
