I recently stayed at Hotel Citrus in Lonavala, and I must say, the experience left a lot to be desired. The hotel’s standards have visibly dropped, and it shows in nearly every aspect. The rooms were far from clean, with dirt and grime evident in corners and furniture that seemed poorly maintained. The air conditioning, which is essential in Lonavala’s weather, was non-functional, making the stay highly uncomfortable. Bathrooms were another major letdown—leaking fixtures, broken tiles, and an overall sense of disrepair. The food was perhaps the most disappointing part of the stay. Despite promises of a buffet, it simply didn’t exist, leaving guests to make do with a lackluster menu of poorly prepared dishes. The only saving grace of the hotel was its staff. They were courteous, accommodating, and genuinely tried to make up for the hotel’s shortcomings. However, even their efforts couldn’t salvage the overall experience. For the price and the reputation Citrus once had, this was an extremely disappointing stay. Until the management makes serious improvements, I cannot recommend this property.

The property location is good nearby maybe a 7-8 minute railway station by autorickshaw not sure but not so far. The food is excellent and the staff is polite and helpful. But the toilet seat is not clean and other amenities are good. We already paid for morning breakfast yesterday and told them to provide breakfast in the room we got tired and they said we have to pay extra charges. We do not like it why pay extra charges already pay for breakfast. Their service is slow 3-4 times to remind them and

Stay was good, staff was courteous, food was average. In house restaurant should look into cutting the prices by half for everything as the rates are not in sync with the what they are offering and overall hotel brand value. Rooms are just okay, not card based entry, u get a big sized key. Ac is from ancient times and sounds like a generator. Rest everything seems just normal. I paid 5k for this, but 3k is more than enough for rooms.
