Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa

A lovely hotel, made fabulous because the staff are so friendly and helpful. A really nice breakfast and great location. The bathroom although clean have some staining in the sink and bath but only due to age not dirt. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Don’t get me wrong the place looks so pretty and would stay again but make sure you bring your own pillows unless you like the hard type. We did ask for soft after one night of neck ache didn’t arrived for two days and then only one arrived ! Staff are lovely especially the waiting staff. Some though I’m not sure know what they’re doing ! No plugs by the bed so bring a long extension lead if staying in a suite! I’m at that time of life when I need a fan near me especially at night. Couldn’t plug that near the bed for same reasons no plug points. Basic stuff really. No usb plug points in the whole suite. Had a running tap which was still leaking on our leaving. Spa bath didn’t have a proper plug just a plastic one where they’ve taken the chain off which was ok but this is a suite so should be maintained properly ! Outside table (we had a balcony ) huge chunk missing! All toiletries were on the wall, bath area has none! Now the tv. It’s the smallest tv I’ve ever seen in a suite. It sits in between the lounge and bed areas so wherever you are you can’t see it unless you move it. There’s no live tv. Netflix is there but not sure that’s because someone else has forgotten to log out ! It’s Roku tv. Which we found rubbish. Food in the restaurant is ok tad too fussy for me wanted fish n chips but can’t have that there only in the bar area. But they did serve a large table with fish n chips but apparently they can as they’re working near and don’t want a posh meal … nor did we but wasn’t allowed ! Very annoying as they had rather roudy people in the bar areas so couldn’t hear ourselves speak! I saw someone mention about the soup portions I totally agree only a few mouthfuls in bowl so v expensive. Also noticed the management only ever reply with same reply. Do you actually act in these reviews ?

We booked a package deal and were NOT disappointed. Clean and comfy rooms. The spa was lovely. Had a relaxing massage then a long soak in the huge hot tub. Dinner was amazing. The quality of the food was outstanding!! Will definitely eat here again. We brought our dog and she was allowed all areas except the restaurant which makes sense. We were given a room with an outside door so she could go out easily . The staff were excellent. Friendly and polite without being too formal. Which we love. Breakfast again was outstanding. A delicious and huge selection of fresh produce.

A great hotel strategically located 10 min walk along the river to town. Went with my mum. We enjoyed the spa, all was clean and reasonably priced. We had an evening meal which was absolutely delicious. The pork belly definitely one to go for! Compliments to the chef. The only thing was that we had a bit of drunken disturbance at around 1200 an till 0200 ish, must of been people coming back from town. However the staff were helpful in this matter and gave us our breakfast for free so that was much appreciated. All in all I would recommend. Thankyou kindly
