Metropole Hotel Venue & Spa, Llandrindod Wells

Location: The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of town, offering pleasant views and easy access to local attractions. It's an excellent choice for those with nostalgic ties to the area, with ample parking available including EV chargers.

Just returned from a 2 night stay and we were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed it ,superior room was lovely and a spotless bathroom with a separate shower, only drawback was having to get you're own tea, coffee, toast with buffet breakfast, but it was good quality hot food and hot plates We paid 139 a night for both of us, including 3 course evening meals, which were very nice We will return soon

Review based on a 2 night stay Friday and Saturday night. Hotel itself is very nice to look at from the outside, very grand along the main road in Llandrindod Wells. Parking is ample and easy to find it’s just round the back and is sign posted and is free. Check in was very easy and the team on reception very helpful with all queries during our stay. Room was nice, paid a little bit more for a slightly higher spec room and yes it’s a bit tired. Beds perfectly comfortable and place was lovely and clean. Furniture in places showing signs of wear and tear and could do with a bit of money spending to refresh certain aspects. Shower and separate bath in spacious bathroom. Room was also cleaned and cleaned everything refreshed after one night which was nice but not needed. Ate in the restaurant both nights and food wad pleasantly very good, a fairly good menu and reasonably priced with good service and a good selection of starters mains and desserts. Breakfast both mornings was fine, HUGE area to have breakfast in and good selection of cooked items, fresh fruit and pastries etc. only gripe with breakfast was no pain au chocolates in pastry selection. Huge selling point to hotel has to be the on site spa which is free for guests, huge warm pool, lovey jacuzzi and steam room and sauna. Didn’t use the gym but looked well equipped. There isn’t a lot to do in Llandrindod wells but this hotel is a good base if you are happy to drive to get to all the different things you might wana do in the surrounding areas. Overall I would be happy to stay again, it’s prob slightly overpriced and could do with some money spending on it in places to just freshen it up but overall it’s nice clean and welcoming.
