The hotel is not only visually stunning, historically impressive and supremely well situated; also the staff were so welcoming and happy to help. The rooms were so big and equally impressive and to top it all it was very affordable. Centered near the Albert Docks and the Three Graces you are in a prime place to visit some of the more tourist driven areas. The amenities in the room were everything we needed. It was clean (although the leather padded wall was a little sticky?). It is near a main road so can be a little noisy. To cap it all off the rooftop bar is well worth the visit for the novelty and the view.

What a fab hotel! Rooms spacious and spotlessly clean. Booked for an away night with the grandaughter. Loved the spa bath, and the beds were so comfy. Slept like a log.The staff are great. Really helpful and friendly. It's definitely on my list for a return visit. Brilliant location close to the Albert dock but not too far from the centre or the Baltic Triangle. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed here on Friday for Halloween. Staff are great and friendly nothing was too much. Room was unreal, would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Liverpool you won’t be disappointed!!

Booking in was straight forward and the room was a nice surprise. For the price(bargain) of the room, we didn’t expect a massive bath in the room, and even with the “jacuzzi” function working it was nice after being out in the windy elements. Also slept really well too, so that’s a bonus for a light sleeper like myself

The history of this building is facinating! I could spend hours looking at all the pictures on the walls! The room was huge, and the bed was very comfortable! I loved the jacuzzi bath and the curtains too! So elegant! One of the most amazing qualities of this hotel was their staff! Each and every one was polite and friendly! Nothing was too much trouble. The location is great! A couple of minutes walk to the Albert Dock, shopping in liverpool one, or brunch in castle street! And James st train station was right next door! Over all! A truly phenonminal stay! Thank you for an amazing tine at the White Star Hotel.

Very apprehensive booking this having read reviews especially £100 deposit re damages. However my apprehension disappeared after booking in at approximately 22:30 was offered to be shown to my room by a very helpful young lady receptionist. (19th October 2025) Room was clean and warm , beds were clean. Shower and toilet immaculately clean. Hotel is themed on Titanic steam ship. For a city centre hotel ideally located for bars, restaurants, entertainment and Albert Docks. For a city centre hotel extremely quiet from external noise. Finally received my £100 deposit back within 2 days

We spent 2 nights here for our wedding anniversary. We were upgraded to ‘the broadway quarters’ a big spacious room with 2 double beds and a kitchenette and A big bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. A good view out towards Albert docks. The hotel has amazing potential the only thing that really let the room down were the windows, which showed signs of age and could do with repair. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the roof bar was a great feature. The beds were very comfy! The location was great so close to Liverpool one, Albert docks and all the tourist spots! The 10% parking discount was also a plus
