Lismore Bounty Workers Club Motel

I had to think about this review before I write it. On appearance there is so much to like about this place. The room was so clean (only some stains in the carpet but nothing that concerned me). Bed so big and comfy, huge bathroom compared to most places I stayed, and you can see an obvious attempt to have it cleaned. Air Con was running and boy I needed it when I arrived and I was grateful. The check in was quick and the gentleman at reception was really nice and friendly. I did a walk through and was surprised of the sign on the large balcony about keeping noise down, and it worried me that could be a problem late. Hmmmmm understatement. Within an hour I could hear quite loudly some bedroom gymnastics going for it, and I brushed it off thinking they were getting it out before they have a night out. Personally I was there for business and sadly I had a minor day surgery the day before and just needed to get what business appointment done and relax for the night before the 4 hour drive home. I had some food with me so decided to stay in as the place was so comfy. Well that was my mistake. I truly feel the limited onsite management hours is where is place failed. Whats the biggest issue I found, NOISE. The place is so noisy. The amount of noise coming down the hallway from people walking down and how to just echo's and projects from the tiles and plastic covered windows is huge. Even normal conversations seem to project it, but with the club next door the drunks being loud didn't help and the doors just slamming shut throughout the night. But the noise coming in from the balcony door was bad. Got to hear police arrive to the club and some drunk female telling them how she feels about being arrested her and it went on for ages. There was so many loud conversations I actually had to check I closed my door. It was like they were right outside my balcony and I left my door open. Nope it was closed and locked. Just noisy. I'm not sure if being on the higher level would have helped but god I wanted to get sleep. I had a more concerning matter which I have addressed direct with the Motel. It was so bad I had to leave early and more so drive home with pretty much no sleep. I did think during the night to call and request a change of room but the intimidating person accommodated with the person next to me and supervising her ongoing rotating visitors concerned me there might have been a penalty for this (gang/biker related type). Also the phone had no instructions of where to dial for help, I did find a list of how to contact pinned to the bench but the list of fees from after-hours callouts made me not call and at this stage I was so pissed off I just wanted to leave. I waited until there was some sunlight, had a shower to keep me awake and left early. Handed my key back and provided feedback and left tired. Look more can be said, but I'll leave it here. Second stay here for work. Thankfully was upgraded to king room which had a small balcony, the key advantage being you don’t get the bright hallway lights streaming into the bedroom like I did last stay. Large comfortable room with all the mod cons and a large bathroom with a shower that is only okay. Great location in town and next door to the club and not far from other restaurants. This time the cleaning was a bit hit and miss, bed wasn’t touched and shampoo and shower gel was not replaced across a multi-day stay, which was unfortunate as I was travelling light and relied on those this trip (took them off the trolley). That aside was again a comfortable stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Regular stay prior to and after floods. Motel is now completely refurbished and very clean. Good sized rooms and next door to the Workers Club. Very nice staff. Recommend if staying in Lismore.

Very professional organisation, which helped us out at the last minute when another motel disappointed us. Jasmin went out of her way to help us. This motel is very clean and comfortable and with the added bonus of having the Workers Club next door for meals meant we could park the car and relax. Amenities were excellent and the room was very large with a lounge and dining table and a comfortable bed. We will be staying here again when we come to Lismore

Very friendly and efficient staff and management. Obviously very experienced and professional. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. I booked this motel because it had a Tesla destination charger which could accommodate our non Tesla vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall standard of the motel.

Really friendly staff. Centrally located motel. Large rooms. Well maintained.
