I was in Linz for a job interview and really needed a good nights sleep. The hotel is next to a church and my room directly next to the church. Every 15 minutes THE WHOLE night the church bells rang. It was awful. The 24 hour help service of the hotel could not help. They could not give me another room and when I asked for my money back I was offered 5% which I think is an insult. Definitely a place to avoid if you need a quiet night. The place is generally quite noisy anyway due to the thin walls, but the church bells just completely ruined it. In this case it is no help having the place clean and pretty- I was there for sleep- which I did not get!!!

I went to Linz for a job interview and of course wanted to get a good night's sleep. The Limehouse is nicely decorated and clean BUT that's no use if I can't sleep. The hotel is next to a church (Urfahr parish) and my room was right next to this church (room 114). The church bells rang every quarter of an hour all night long!!! I called the police, but they didn't know anything about it and couldn't help. The Limehouse's 24/7 assistance service was no help. There was no other room available and compensation was only 5% of the room price. It was a terrible experience! Earplugs and headphones didn't help. Other hotels didn't answer the phone around midnight.

Church bells ringing thru the night...
The hotel itself was nice - clean, spacious, good location. Digital access was smooth and seamless.
The only issue (which may be deal breaker for some) is the church across the street rings its bells well into the night.
Enjoy being woken up every 15/30 minutes as the bells ring, just as you drift off to sleep. It wasn't until about 2am that I finally got used to the bells and was able to get a few hours sleep - before being woken up again.

Mittelmäßige Unterkunft
Die Unterkunft hat das Flair eines Altersheims, was auch kein Wunder ist, denn ein Flügel des Hauses schient ein Altersheim zu sein.
Es ist alles sehr zweckmäßig und eine stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre gibt es nicht.
Das Check-in lief nicht reibungslos und der Zugang zum Haus war alles andere als einfach!
Was das Zimmer betrifft, ist es mittelmäßig. Es ist anständig groß und das Bett ist bequem und groß; die Kochnische ist willkommen. Aber es ist nicht durchdacht und alles wirkt ziemlich kalt.
Alles in allem würde ich ungern ein zweites Mal dort übernachten.
