Red Roof Plus+ Baltimore-Washington DC/BWI Airport

I prepaid for my room only to stay for 10 minutes after checking in. The room smelled like a strong cleaner and was not anything like the pictures show on their website. The bathtub had a piece of rusted metal attached, the room furnishings were old and odd characters were hanging out. I felt very unsafe and when asked by the front desk clerk why I was not satisfied, I answered honestly. She told me that because I checked out within30 minutes of arriving, I would receive a full refund. That has not happened and I’ve been told that because I booked through Trip.com I would need to contact them for a refund and do I did but to no avail and the saga continues. Never do business with Trip.com, they are a Chinese based company and although they said via chat they would contact the hotel manager for a refund, they are not giving me a refund. Please see a snapshot of the email I received from them earlier today. I will never do business with either company again and urge you to look at the reviews before you book.

No microwave or refrigerator. Needs updating. Office is understaffed so long wait lines for checking in. Clean but led. Great location to airport and rental cars. Close rot food places and gas stations. No smoking on premises but not enforced as I could smell **** throughout. Don’t like the upstairs units elevator and stairs but prefer first level.
