The Old Calf Shed is situated in the centre of our 200 acre dairy and sheep farm with stunning views over the Wharfe Valley and within a short drive of Harrogate. Leeds and the Yorkshire dales. The cottage has 5 steps to enter then is all on level with well equipped kitchen & super king and King sized beds. Fabulous cottage and just what we needed. Having 2 dogs the enclosed garden was great and we could sit and admire the views whilst they sniffed around. The living area was very well equipped and cosy. Fabulously quiet - we hardly heard the cows. The large bedrooms and modern en-suites were lovely. Parking was no problem. We didn't use the hot tub. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but only 20 minutes into Harrogate and you have all the facilities. Definitely on the list for a return visit.

My partner and I booked in for a 3 night break in the old calf shed. Wow what a place. Fantastic views of the valley (i would suggest binoculars to watch the birds of prey) while you sit in the hot tub. Everything needed for a self catering break is in the kitchen. We had asked for the afternoon tea which didn't fail to impress either. Those cakes were to die for. Julie is such a lovely host, she took us for a walk around the farm talking to us all the time explaining how everything worked and looking at the calfs. We had a fantastic break and will definitely book again.

Lovely farm stay with hot tub
Lovely few days at this farm cottage hosted by Julie. The cottage is very well equipped and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve had at any cottage! The location is beautiful with fantastic views across open countryside and the hot tub fab to come home to. Julie also gave us a tour of the cow and nursery sheds which was interesting and eye opening. Would defo Italy recommend.

Amazing host Julie , fabulous place beautiful scenery, explored working farm ,All was excellent 5* except carpet was full of pets hair because pet friendly property.Kids loved the place ,View from hot tub was amazing.Certainly recommend and looking forward to book again .

Relaxing getaway
In the middle of nowhere, but not far from shops, restaurants etc. Lovely views. Sounds of farm animals. Dogs had an enclosed garden. Hot tub is an added bonus. Will definitely recommend
