Grecotel LUXME Daphnila Bay

The facilities were really good, & the service excellent. More of a place for families and children than for two mates in their 40's.

Had a lovely 10 days holiday. Pros. The staff are amazing they work incredibly hard. The view from the beach is stunning with plenty of sun beds. We had a bungalow in the 700's with a wonderful view. Loved the bungalow mentioned to management that we could benefit with a shelf as nowhere to put anything. When we returned back to our accommodation a shelf was installed. Amazing. The buffet food was excellent. It's beneficial to book restaurants a week before travel. Hot stone was our favourite together with Dannila village well worth a visit. It was my husband birthday whilst we were there and a cake and a bottle of bubbly arrived at our bungalow, that was really appreciated. A taxi into Corfu us 30 euros each way or there is a bus at the entrance to the hotel which takes a 15 minutes walk. There is a steep hill in the accommodation we are in our mid 70's and didn't find it too much of a problem as a golf type buggy is there if you need it. Cons The food in the fine dining was lovely but in was in the bar area and very noisy. The bar area was very noisy most of the time and having billiards in there just added to the noise. The food in the Traverna down by the beach was also good but this was outside and very cold so heaters would have been welcomed.

This was our first all-inclusive family holiday and it exceeded our expectations. The resort was lovely, very clean, amazing facilities and really friendly and helpful staff. The food at the buffet and a la carte restaurants was fantastic for adults and kids (one son very fussy eater). The beach area was lovely with small but sandy/little pebbles beach for the kids to play and warm sea to swim and snorkel in. We’d taken the kids short wetsuits and were glad of it as meant they could spend longer in the water. The lunch buffet by the beach was great (pizzas, salads, fruit and some hot foods) and we loved the creperie / ice cream parlour. The bungalow we had was a garden view which was fine for us as meant we were close to the beach. The kids club was great and easy for the kids to attend (4 and 8 yo went together to a few activities). We borrowed tennis rackets for tennis one morning (booked by the hour on the hour). We used the undercover pool twice which was a similar temperature to the sea but not the outdoor pool as it was seriously cold! Having read reviews before going we were a little apprehensive about the condition of the rooms, the wasps and the steep hill, but were relieved that the room was clean and Greek style (so possibly others had expected uk type hotel room), the wasps were around if you had hot meat on your plate but weren’t as biblical as others had made out, and the hill is a hill and totally fine if you are of normal fitness. If needed they have buggies going up and down to give you a lift. Only got a couple of mozzie bites and didn’t see many around. We would highly recommend this resort for a family holiday and would visit another hotel in the Grecotel group as found it to be excellent value for money. Tip is to download the app, book a la carte a week before visiting, definitely go to the a la carte restaurants as we’re exceptional / an experience and to use what’s app to contact reception when you need to. We had two grey days during our week and spent one in Corfu town (€30 taxi each way or shuttle bus from hotel) and one at the Corfu Aquarium (€45 taxi each way). The aquarium was great and the tour guide was fantastic (45 min tour then free to look around).

Location is quite remote however the water taxi is such an amazing experience! We recommend to everyone! The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and just absolutely top notch! Nothing was too much trouble! The service, food and cleanliness was just everything you want, table service at the buffet on a lunch and evening, never did the glass go dry! The food was delectable and the à la carte restaurants were something else **top tip - book before you arrive to guarantee request** Pizza station and crepe and icecream station were amazing! Even for us big kids! The rooms were clean, modern, specious and comfortable! We stayed in a standard room for 3 woman and there was plenty of space! Even for our shoes! Honestly I cannot recommend this place enough. The pool is not heated, however that’s how I like it! And the beach and sea were perfect. Never an issue for a lounger. We went out of the UK school holidays! Which I recommend to all!

Cherise_Bradbury ‍ service was super friendly, there is a WhatsApp chat which I well over used lol there is carts to take you around the resort ️ the beach is gorgeous with lots of areas to sit with bars, food, a children’s club & plenty of activities - we loved going early to enjoy a coffee whilst watching the sunrise and having a morning swim before breakfast in the main buffet ‍♀️ there one main pool which is gorgeous with a bar, a small children’s pool next to it and another sheltered pool and a fourth pool for children in a separate garden area too - all super clean with plenty seating ️ food was delicious, there is snacks available 24/7, many restaurants including A La Carte & buffets get discounts off meals at the sister hotels only a 10 minute drive away drinks are great, staff often come and ask for your orders so many activities: paddle, tennis, indoor & outdoor gym, swimming, water sports, renting a boat, snorkeling, scuba diving, pool, darts, children’s clubs, beach ball & more! ‍♀️ gorgeous spa with loads of treatment options wine tasting experiences & many wines to choose from including some from vineyards on the island we stayed in a bungalow by the beach, it was very peaceful, super clean & spacious with space to sleep 4, mini bar is topped up daily for free, anything requested is brought straight to your room & pick up / drop off by cart / car taxi service is great & prompt affordable & reasonably priced shows & concerts daily suitable for couples & families - we went for our anniversary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - overall we loved our experience here, we had a great balance of being active, relaxing & eating great food - the location is perfect and will be looking to stay at more of the Grecotel hotels in the future! My only improvement would be to request more availability at the A La Carte restaurants for dinner (we were able to dine at two and was there four nights, one night we chose to go to the sister hotel Corfu Imperial and the other night we dined in the buffet which is still great)
