Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lima

It was a good time. Nice amenities and great people that work there. Very clean and really good room to move. Loved the pool and bar!

Our experience at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lima was not good at all. When we arrived to the hotel and checked in it was 11PM. We got the keys to our room and then headed to the car to unload our bags. After unloading our bags onto a cart we proceeded to the elevator to our room. The elevator was filthy and making loud screeching noises which were unsettling. Upon entering our room we were greeted with a strong odor of mustiness and chemicals. After turning on the lights to the room we were very discouraged to find crumbs on almost every surface in the room along with old food and/or garbage ground into the carpeting in various spots. There were greasy handprints on the ceiling in several places, and there were hairs all over the floor of the bathroom. The worst thing we encountered, however, were small bug carcases and debris under the pillows of our bed. We were mortified! After discovering the bugs, we immediately called down to the front desk, and were told they would need to call us back as the hotel was completely booked and they didn't know what to do. The front desk finally called us back about 10 or so minutes later and told us to come to the front desk, as they found us another room, after we were told they did not have any available rooms. We never even took our bags off the cart. So we headed down to the front desk with our bags and were told that even though the hotel was completely booked the manager was able to somehow find us a room. We decided that given the condition of our first room and the hallways and elevator, and the fact that there were bugs which we assume were bed bugs... we would much rather receive a refund and stay somewhere else. We were able to book a room at the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot and had a much better experience!

Weekend Stay Our 1st room the door was locked and had to be moved to another room. The T.V from another room was not working had to call front desk to fix issue and it was resolved. People at pool tables were loud till midnight and it was difficult to fall asleep.

The room was great, service was great. Only thing I noticed was that the banisters need dusting the ones looking inside the hotel and also the tops of the lights need dusting. Other than that, is a great place to stay. There are great restaurants within walking distance.
