Property Description
Our little adventure getaway is in as good a location as they come! We have the community golf course and pools directly out the front doors, your own private hot tub and huge fire pit out back with the national forest and hiking trails literally accessible from the backyard, and the beautiful Cowlitz river swimming hole minutes away. With Mt. Rainier National Park entrance 17 minutes away and White Pass ski resort just 30 minutes out, our little slice of heaven boasts year round adventures!
The space
Our mountain retreat has plenty of space for a big family gathering, groups of friends and still feels cozy enough for a romantic get away for 2. The house is best suited for 6-8 adults + 2-4 kids, depending how friendly y'all are ;) Sleeps up to 10. The spacious and bright living room has a larger couch, love seat and a couple chairs, and flat screen with Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, Amazon Prime Video, and our great DVD collection, not to mention plenty of space to spread out and enjoy our extensive game collection for cozy nights in.
The dining room has a large circular table with a center lazy Susan and a view of the golf course. The kitchen has plenty of storage in the cabinets and is fully equipped with all you need to cook up a storm. Feel free to enjoy use of condiments and seasonings, coffee and teas. For the other coffee lovers out there, we are equipped with all the things; the milk frother for your lattes or hot cocoa, pour over, and coffee pot. And for the fellow tea lovers we have loose leaf and bagged tea, and a tea pot :). You are all set for coziness!
In the backyard, you will find a huge fire pit with custom wood benches around it, a rustic outdoor bar area, our 7 person hot tub and lawn chairs, all lit up by our sweet outdoor twinkle lights! We also have a covered deck with patio furniture and a table for nice nights outside. If you walk to the edge of the backyard, you will see our marked mini trail, which links up to a much longer beautiful trail that goes for miles through the national forest and all the way up towards Rainier if you hike long enough. It is an easy 6 minute walk on this trail to a beautiful, small and peaceful waterfall where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
Sleeping Arrangements
There is a large master bedroom with a king size bed. This room is attached to a good sized master bathroom. There is another room with a Queen bed and a third flex room with a very comfortable futon that converts to a queen bed. The futon is quite comfortable on its own but we also provide a memory foam topper for those who prefer it. The flex room currently has 2 doorways with floor to ceiling barn doors for privacy but not an official door.
The second full bath is just outside these 2 rooms. Finally there is a cute little unattached bunk house in the back yard with a covered walkway to the house. The skiers bunk house is covered completely on the inside with pine shiplap and is very cute and cozy. It is fully insulated and heated and sleeps up to 4 with a full over full bunk bed. The bunk house will be left locked for parties 6 and under unless otherwise discussed. If you are 6 and under, but would like to use the bunkhouse, there is a $50 fee for your entire stay to help pay for the extra time, cleaning, and laundry that our cleaner has to complete.
The owners of this home are Amaris and Sean and you can trust that we have appointed it, with the forethought of making sure it would become a place we are excited to stay. For our guests, this means, a well stocked kitchen, good coffee and tea supplies, all beds and linens being comfortable, and nicely done décor. We bought this first as a place for our families to enjoy but wanted to open it to Airbnb guests as well to share the experience. Should you choose to stay here please treat this home as you would your own.

Great place for a family to homebase while skiing at white pass. Lots of entertainment, cozy spaces, wonderful hot tub and a kitchen that works well for group meals. Some power outages, but not too lengthy.
