VIE Via - Your Hotel

Overall it was really nice, hotel was nice with some board games for the family, room clean and spacious, good WIFI, air Co work. The only thing i would like to add is that sometimes was a funny smell in the corridors. I would definitely arrive at this hotel again.

Lovely, quaint location, clearly connected to Hotel Post Plaza. When renting apartments, digital check-in system is understandable. When arriving in downpour upon ringing bell, I learn I was supposed to have digital room key by email and was told to wait for email, I mentioned downpour: nice lady soon arrived from Post Plaza to let me in. I asked for an iron. She said they could bring an iron within an hour and left. Elevator did not respond, so started climbing 3 flights with luggage. Found elevator, which stalled but got me to floor 2. Room was cheerful but no amenities at all: no water boiler, no fridge, not television and suggestion to use less water. After 45 minutes staff phoned that it was too late to bring iron. I suggested I'd come get it in Post Plaza next door as well as water boiler, mentioning pb w elevator and asked to iron my trousers there. Response was that they SELL boiling water from vending machines downstairs, and ironing in my room would be more practical. I objected that elevator unreliable, so dragging iron + board upstairs from next-door unreasonable. Finally they relented and allowed me to use ironing board at Post Plaza (after another 15 minute wait). After asking FOUR employees, I finally obtained a small cup of boiling water. Watching news was impossible, because no TV. I explained all this next morning to nice hostess, who eagerly blamed abysmal service on website booking and decided the communication after arrival must me intern's misunderstanding. ('Intern' had tried to accommodate me, her supervisor objected.) Nice hostess told me where to find free cup of boiling water. Purpose is clearly to minimize service and amenities, despite a pleasant place to stay and nice location. Avoid, if you seek a hotel.

This do it yourself hotel requires you to check in and enter using you mobile phone. Which is nice when if works really well. Initially there were some problems as I needed to digitally check in before my digital key to the front door would work. It was not clear how checking in worked and I simply followed other guests. In the end I could enter my spacious and attractive room. The whole place is nicely designed and decorated. The room however lacks facilities such as a fridge, a television, coffee and tea, and a separate bathroom. For the price you pay more should be on offer. Add to that the somewhat uncomfortable bed and pillows and I am in doubt whether I will be back. There is a shop and an attractive breakfast option with coffee, tea, juice, pastries, yoghurt with toppings included. The thought I paid too much for what I got lingers.
