The Black Swan Lee - Lenox, Ascend Hotel Collection

This was our first time at this lovely inn. It has a stunning view of the lake, so of course we made sure our room faced the lake! We rented kayaks from the hotel and spent evenings on the balcony. The staff were great too! I would recommend this inn to friends!

Centrally located near places of interest such as the Normal Rockwell museum & other upstate NY attractions, this hotel offers some unique features. Rent a kayak or pontoon boat and take a spin on a quaint lake out the back door. Across the street and up the road a piece on the right, is a trailhead with a lovely loop through the nearby woods. Within 9 minutes, be in Lenox in one direction, or Stockbridge in another. Both towns are quintessentially "early American" small towns. Excellent breakfast fare (especially notable for gluten free folks). Although the hotel decor is unremarkably brown, there lies a hidden jewel within this hotel. DO NOT MISS a dinner at the MINT, reservations recommended. Crowded and clearly a local favorite, the Indian food was some of the best ever. Impeccable service & a lakeside table view, indoor and outdoor seating available. The prices for a stay at Black Swan were significantly better than the hotels in the town. Pet friendly.

Lovely views of Laurel Lake, friendly, knowledgeable staff who are committed to providing excellent customer service, and wonderful onsite Indian restaurant, Mint. The Black Swan Inn is a hidden gem. Situated at the terminus of Laurel Lake, the Inn is quiet and peaceful. The rooms, while slightly dated in color scheme, are spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. All of the list amenities were in good working order. Many rooms feature lakeside views where you can sit on the porch and watch the world go by. Sunset is gorgeous. For those with rooms facing the parking lot, there are numerous adirondack chairs set out along the lakefront from which you can relax and chill. Onsite extras include kayak and a pontoon boat rentals, and an excellent Indian restaurant, Mint, that is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week with the exception of Tuesday lunch. I’m an Indian food aficionado and it is with great pleasure I tell you Mint served me one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in years. Special kudos to the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. A special shout out to Owen, who, after noticing I’d left my car’s headlights on, took the time and effort to track me down so I could fix the problem before I drained my car battery. You don’t get this type of personal service larger resorts, but everyone at the Black Sean Inn went out of their way to make sure my stay was as lovely as possible.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Slept like a baby. Woke to one of the worst breakfasts. Only hot food you had to microwave. Not a healthy thing available. What you have to pay should have a decent breakfast. Just my opinion.

Great stay. Rocky is very friendly, and the view was breathtaking. Tasty restaurant food and complimentary breakfast. See you soon.

My wife and I returned to this hotel many years later when we decided to revisit the Berkshires. The hotel is located in Lee,Massachusetts. Michelle,the front desk manager,is amazing. She goes out of her way to make your stay a truly positive one by offering you places to see while visiting the Berkshires,trails to hike on,mountains to drive to and restaurants to eat at. Get a room on the second floor overlooking the lake.It will help add to the serene atmosphere you are experiencing and will relax you in a very short period of time. Enjoy the moment! Noel M.
