"The cleanliness is lacking; there are cockroaches. They don't clean the floor of the rooms when they go to the rooms. The receptionist at the entrance is terrible. The breakfast is very basic and always the same. It consists of cereal, waffles, toast, juice, and yogurt. It's a very basic breakfast. They should take better care of the facilities because it's in a good location. I also told the cleaning lady about the spoons, but no one came to check."

"Really clean and newly renovated hotel. Great bedding, you can feel that these are not used for ten years like every other motel. One big issue is the missing insulation of the floor. You can hear every step of the above room. We had bad luck and a woman with six kids had the room above us and they were jumping and running the whole time. This hotel is pet friendly, which also means that people will leave their dogs barking in the rooms. Beside this a great hotel"

"Bed comfortable, clean, laminate wood-look floor, bath with tub, small refrigerator, no microwave. Looks like it’s been remodeled. Good place to sleep and shower.Great AC but loud. BEWARE: breakfast was as good as you’d expect from a Roadway Inn. Not sure if you call it continental breakfast or what. They have a sign that says “Craving something different? Breakfast sandwiches and more are available for purchase in our retail market."

"Being unfamiliar with Ft Myers’s Beach, I researched a 2 night stay carefully. The rates at Lani Kai were favorable, even though it is family owned, we took a chance. It is an older hotel, but has been updated since hurricane Ian. The glider swings on beach and rooftop levels were very nice to sit and enjoy a beverage. The beach is pristine and directly behind the hotel. We enjoyed an anniversary dinner at the sundeck restaurant Island View, and it was an amazing meal. We were both very satisfied. Our room was clean. We don’t travel much, this was a quick getaway and enjoyed it. Other than 2 days of torrential downpours, typical Florida Spring weather, we enjoyed our stay. 4 stars for facility because the tunnel to the beach is quite dark and the elevators could also be updated."

"When i made the reservation I asked if they had elevators the answer was yes. When I got there everything was really messed up as far as the condition of the property. It had no vending machines that worked and didn’t seem to care. No breakfast served. the room had excavators working outside the window and patio areas. Very loud and dusty. The floor in the room was dirty. After i walked on it once my feet were dirty. This is not what i expected at all for what the rates were. I asked for a refund and to leave but they wouldn’t give my money back. They sent me an email days later saying it would be refunded but as of over a week later no ready."
