"Being unfamiliar with Ft Myers’s Beach, I researched a 2 night stay carefully. The rates at Lani Kai were favorable, even though it is family owned, we took a chance. It is an older hotel, but has been updated since hurricane Ian. The glider swings on beach and rooftop levels were very nice to sit and enjoy a beverage. The beach is pristine and directly behind the hotel. We enjoyed an anniversary dinner at the sundeck restaurant Island View, and it was an amazing meal. We were both very satisfied. Our room was clean. We don’t travel much, this was a quick getaway and enjoyed it. Other than 2 days of torrential downpours, typical Florida Spring weather, we enjoyed our stay. 4 stars for facility because the tunnel to the beach is quite dark and the elevators could also be updated."

"The hotel is a little far from the city center, but you can reach the city center within 10-15 minutes by car. The rooms are large, but not particularly nice. The bathroom in particular is a little unattractive. The staff are friendly and there is free parking. Breakfast was included, but not particularly tasty, though it was okay."

"As a transit hotel for one night its almost ideal. Big rooms, very good breakfast, which is unusual for the USA. Not noisy, free very big parking. Breakfast starts at 7am during weekends and at 6am week days. I would suggest making it 6am always. The only downside is the floor in our room was not very clean. Price is good if you book it in quite an advance with no cancellation option. I do recommend this one, if price is good for you and its just in a transit. Keep in mind thats nothing around."
