On the outside, a crumbling 17th century chateau and on the inside, early 20th century. Currently having a new roof completed but needs a lot of maintenance and modernisation on the inside - treacherous stairs to first floor. Generally rather grubby, including bathrooms … Comfortable and clean bed. Good breakfast, dinner make or may not be available. Excellent general store on site. Friendly and helpful owner.

We selected reserved a room which we were not allocated but a significantly worse room, dirty and with plaster falling from the ceiling from a prior leak, poor WiFi, appalling shower room, and no amenities. ( All had to be prearranged) So no drinking water on a day when it was 34 degrees. Owner said he decided to change it. The room had a plug badly fitted to wall with extension bar for the TV and box. This is a very charming hotel. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room for 5 people. There was plenty of room for all of us. It was so charming that we would highly recommend this unique place!! The main bed was hard which was fine for my husband but I ended up kicking one of the kids out of their bed because it was softer. But it was all fine. The breakfast was a little small. Wish they had a few more items like yogurt and cheese. Make sure to walk around and enjoy the scenery. It is so quite in a hidden little wooden area in the middle of the city. We stopped here after the LeMans Classic and on our way to Mont St. Michelle. It was the perfect place for our teenagers to feel like they were "back in time" yet with modern comfort.

Shower drain takes hours to get empty and a drop of water falls from shower head every 5 seconds
Toilet tank takes hours to fill
mattress of bed was deformed (to hold)
roof leaks i was told they will fix next year
The bedroom door does not lock
Hard to find the entrance even with GPS
It is a very quite area, owners where very nice

Nous fiant aux avis positifs, nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure pour une nuit, en route vers la Bretagne. Malheureusement, Pierre, notre hôte, qui est un homme accueillant, cultivé, et parmi les derniers défenseurs des vrais valeurs, a le tort de trop déléguer à ses filles, qui ne sont clairement pas au niveau. L'une d'elles, chargée de la réception, nous a attribué la chambre la plus simple du manoir, qui plus est dans un état épouvantable (cf. photos). Quant au dîner maison, préparé par la sœur, il était moins qu'ordinaire. Très gêné lors de notre départ, Pierre nous a offert le vin du dîner et réduit de 50% le prix de la chambre. S'il est un peu plus attentif à la gestion de son manoir, Pierre retrouvera sans aucun doute des avis plus positifs. Dider SCHMIDT

Grosse déception. Nos chambres dans la tour du XVIe ont été données à d'autres voyageurs ! Nous avons été relégués dans les chambres du gîte au-dessus de l'épicerie. Mobilier disparate et désuet, chambres et salles de bain vétustes et à peine propres, et en plus la propriétaire était désagréable.

Les propriétaires ont fait le max pour rendre le séjour agréable, mais l'endroit est un peu "passé".. problème de douche, problème d'araignée.. C'est dommage. Le lieu serait super avec une bonne rénovation intérieure.
