Swiss Wine by Fassbind
"I booked my weekend stay two months in advance, paying just over 1000 per night. The room quality was exactly as pictured, comparable to an economy hotel like Home Inn in China... 😂 They gave us two chocolates at check-in. The location is great, right at the subway station entrance. I arrived at Lausanne train station by train at night, and the station area here reminded me of Guangzhou's Shangxiajiu, Shanghai's Qipu Road, or Shenzhen's Old Dongmen... 😂 It really didn't feel like the high-end Switzerland I imagined, haha. Plus, there were a lot of strange young men and women hanging around Lausanne train station at night. I'd advise female travelers planning a trip here to arrive during the day, not at night."
Hôtel de la Paix Lausanne
"The hotel has a good location, and some rooms have a lake view. The reception staff were friendly. Be aware of the mandatory CHF 100 deposit. Amenities: Some rooms are a bit more modern, but others, like this one, are somewhat dated with carpeting and a squeaky bed (though still comfortable). The rooms are rather small: okay for a short stay with a small suitcase. Housekeeping could be improved. Neither my cup nor glass was replaced the next day. They tried to charge me for the minibar, which I hadn't used. I had a room with breakfast included, which I didn't use. In the large restaurant, two-thirds of the tables were almost empty. In the morning, an additional row of tables was placed between the remaining third, and it seemed all the "regular" guests were seated there. I wanted to sit in the other section, where two tables were occupied, but I was told I had to sit in the other section. Since I wanted to at least have a quiet coffee in the morning (without being jostled from both sides), I decided against it and went straight to work. The next morning, I opted to pay for an extra breakfast at a café instead. The only positive aspects: the balcony with a lake view and the air conditioning in the room."

Agora Swiss Night by Fassbind
"Clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The parking is convenient, and it seems to be a chain hotel, as I saw another one of the same brand on a different street. Overall, I'm very satisfied."
Moxy Lausanne City
"Lovely stay in Flon Lausanne, good location!"
Continental Hotel Lausanne
"Great location, right opposite the train station. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had two sinks, but only one chair. The front desk offers free bus tickets for city tours, but you need to ask and register for them."

Starling Hotel Lausanne
"I came to Lausanne to attend the conference of the European College of Sports Science. I spent wonderful time for staying in the Starling Hotel Lausanne during 5 days. Thank you for your hospitality."
Best Western Plus Hotel Mirabeau
"Hotel is located in city and have a walking distance of around 20 minutes to the Lake Geneva. The room is nice and clean that good hotel with nice price there."
Lausanne Youth Hostel Jeunotel
"The breakfast was very filling, there was Wi-Fi, a spacious lounge area, and a good bathroom (albeit shared). However, the room lacked air conditioning, making it very stuffy. There was no refrigerator, making it cramped and quite noisy. It's a 20-minute bus ride to Lausanne, including the wait."
Hôtel des Patients
"A hospital hotel with typical smells also had very pleasant service and spacious rooms, some with a splendid view of Lake Geneva."
Elite
"Located north of the train station, easily accesible with quite some uphill, but manageable with luggage. The room was squeaky clean and the staff was friendly. The decor is as you see in the photos."
Base Lausanne - Contactless Check IN
"We (me, my husband, and our 21 year old daughter) stayed at Base Lausanne for 3 nights in early July, left a lot of our luggage at the Base for a week for a one-week hike in the Swiss Alps, and returned to the Base for 2-nights. Base Lausanne is by far our favorite city-stay apartment. I'm so glad that our original airbnb reservation was canceled by the host so we found Base Lausanne instead. We had a one-bedroom with a sleeper sofa in the living room. While the Base does not provide some of the amenities a regular hotel might have (eg no a/c, so it can get a bit warm on hot days for Americans accustomed to a/c in the summer), it suited our purposes beautifully. It has a wonderfully efficient kitchen (modern and top of the line appliances). There are also excellent washer and dryer in the lower floor along with free detergent. This was super convenient as we could wash our dirty clothes after our hiking trip before our long journey home. I like most the abundance of cabinet and closet storage spaces in the apartment to put away our belongings, so the room looked orderly throughout the day. The staff, Cedric in particular, are so welcoming, helpful and thoughtful. We left our luggage in the room before we left, and our luggage was waiting for us in the room a week later upon our return. The location is super convenient. We love the food shops in the immediate neighborhood: Bread Store (award winning boulangerie/patisserie 5 minute walk away), Loom (gelateria next door to the hotel), Coop (relatively large supermarket, 4 minute walk), Planet Bowl (healthy and good value poke bowl, directly opposite). Thank you the Base Lausanne team for making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We can't wait to go back to Base Lausanne again!"

VISIONAPARTMENTS Chemin des Epinettes - self check-in
"There are six of us staying in these apartments for a month as part of our work, and our experience has been extremely disappointing. After just one week, we're already wondering how we'll manage to complete our reservation in such conditions. These apartments are advertised as luxury accommodations, but the reality is quite different. On the very first night, one of our colleagues suffered numerous bedbug bites. Faced with this situation, our employer had to implement a specific protocol to prevent any spread in our workplace. Specialized detection dogs had to be deployed, both at our workplace and within the building. Unfortunately, given the overall state of cleanliness, this discovery is hardly surprising. Several occupants have noticed a significant accumulation of dust under the beds and a clearly inadequate level of cleaning. The curtains are not blackout, which means we are woken up every morning at 6 a.m. by sunlight. The heat inside the apartments is stifling. There is no air conditioning available; only small fans are provided. These merely circulate the hot air without offering any comfort whatsoever. One of our colleagues even has a faulty fan that won't stand upright. Adding to this are the cheap synthetic foam pillows, which severely compromise sleep quality. To date, we have spent a week here, and not a single week has passed without being disturbed by the heat, noise, smells, or general discomfort. One of our colleagues on the ground floor spotted a man hiding in some bushes at 2:00 a.m., observing the inside of his studio. For my part, at 4:00 a.m., I observed a motionless individual staring in the direction of my window. After waiting about twenty seconds before checking again, this person was still in the same spot, observing the apartment. Such behavior generates a real sense of insecurity for the residents. Especially since the studio doors cannot be locked from the inside. There are other problems such as: electrical outlets that come loose from the wall, unstable or poorly secured windows, impractical layouts, and a clear lack of maintenance. One of our colleagues lives in an apartment where the furniture is completely disproportionate to the size of the room. The space between the bed and the closet is so small that it's difficult to move around normally. Another colleague also has to endure the continuous noise of his refrigerator every night, which seems never to stop. Furthermore, the washing machines are only accessible after 6 p.m., a restriction that is particularly ill-suited to our work schedules. During our cleaning day, we..."
