"Daois Cove never fails to amaze me how they keep getting the experience and service so right. From pick up, to check in to the pool and restaurants. The staff work relentlessly to make things as perfect as they can be for your stay, and all with a smile. Coming back, having been before, you also recognise the same staff year on year which can't be the case for every resort and that family feel really comes through in everything the resort does. The food and wine are excellent. The beach and pool both great places to spend the day. It's hard to fault, and a place i will always think of and discuss with my family for an exceptional holiday we will always remember."

"We went on a 10 day break - our first holiday with no children since our honeymoon 32 years ago! And what a place to go. From the minute you arrive the welcome is warm from the lovely staff on Reception. We spoke to Maria on arrival, who along with the rest of the front of house staff were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Little touches with mattered - for example we had one of the ladies who service the room leave some towels on our bed in the shape of a heart with some flowers. Lovely touch. The properties are amazing, beautifully done out, we had a kitchen, fridge, washing machine and fridge freezer, a large sofa, big TV which we logged into our Netflix and Amazon accounts, and a dining room table. Outside a beautiful view - sun beds, and outside dining too. A lovely infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and mini-gym with stunning views. The weather was beautiful, around 25 degrees C and clear blue skies. The only thing I would say is for someone like me with poor circulation the pool was a tad chilly, we plumped for it to be heated the last few days, but it was an extra 90 Euros a day. But worth it. Then there is the breakfast - you won't be disappointed, there is so much choice, English, Continental, Greek plus so much more. Salmon for breakfast every day! And the coffee is amazing, even decaffeinated for me. There was even Prosecco every other day! The staff. First class. Not only in their service, but the way they engage with you and turn eating a meal into an event. Wonderful people, Sofia and her team, I can't name them all, or remember all their names, but Manolis (and his sister!), Vitalis and Michalis, the young guy with them (I forgot your name!) as well as the guy on the bar (sorry forgot your name!) were a credit and a joy to spend time with, all of them. To all of you, thank you for making our holiday even more special! Be prepared on a Thursday night after dinner for some traditional Greek dancing, you have to join in, followed by a jump in the pool fully clothed with Vitalis. He will persuade you! "Extremely hospitable and helpful staff. The hotel equipment is completely new. The main restaurant has a very beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that offers a rich buffet, very good breakfast and dinner. Very beautiful view of the sea and the island of Spinalonga. Modern decoration, lots of storage space, very comfortable bedding. I highly recommend it !!!"

Apollon Hotel

"We arrived at Apollon Hotel at around 3am on Thursday 13th June 2024, after the hotel we had booked was unable/unwilling to provide us with the room we had booked. As you might expect, we were extremely worried about what we were going to do. All our fears were allayed when we were greeted at Apollon Hotel by Manolis, on reception. He listened to our predicament, reassured us all would be well, and showed us to the room he was happy to book us into. He made sure we knew all we needed to know, before bidding us a good night. To say we were relieved is a massive understatement! When we arose the next morning, and went down for breakfast, we were greeted by Manolis and his colleague on reception, Eleni. They both went to great lengths to make sure we'd had a comfortable night, and that we were now feeling better, after our horrendous experience at a rival hotel. Our week's stay at Apollon Hotel provided everything, and more, that we wanted or needed. The hotel is a two minute stroll to/from Ammos Beach; our room was clean, comfortable and spacious; our bed was comfortable; our balcony had a very pleasant view; the air-con was more than a match for the very high ambient temperatures; breakfast was plentiful, varied, and of a very high standard. Given the excellence of Apollon Hotel, and the level of satisfaction we experienced, it is quite something to say that the best part of our stay there was meeting and getting to know the staff there. Each and every one of them went above and beyond what could be reasonably expected; they made us feel that we were in the company of long-time friends, and we shall miss them until our return. We would unreservedly recommend Apollon Hotel."

"We just returned from a new stay at Candia Park. Although it’s our sixth stay, we never wrote a review but this time we really wanted to praise not only the place and the services, but the people. We realized once again that the wonderful energy of this place is given by the people we found there every year, as if some old friends are waiting for us, especially the people at the restaurant: Katerina, Manolis, Dimitris, Mihalis, the lady that cooks the omelet that our son eats and greets us with such a joy every year, the sous chef whom I brought so many recipes from. I probably misspelled some of the names, but they know who they are. We missed the people that are now retired, like Mr. Nikos who greeted us so many years in a row. But we also found new wonderful people, like the young man who drives the electric car, who is so good with kids, or Adamantia at the restaurant. We were so glad to see again the lady that does the mini disco with such a joy that never seems to diminish. We also found very helpul managers along the time, which were really helpful when needed. Thank you to all of you. You are the epitome of Greek hospitality."

"The hotel is beautifully located, with a view of the sea and mountains from our window. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean and cleaned daily. The money left out in the open was untouched, nothing went missing, and the cleaning lady even found my earring, which I didn’t realize I had lost. The food was tasty, and everyone could find something they liked. The water in the pools was salty and refreshing, but the children didn’t mind at all. If we return to this area, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it."

"Beautiful hotel. Fantastic setting with the private beach & the views from the pool. Staff were great, cocktails were brilliant & the bar was a good spot to admire the view. My only criticism would be that the restaurant in the evening did not deliver meals that reflected the hotel style or cost of the hotel. Lunch was great but dinner was a let down for me. I would have expected better. "

Angela Suites Boutique Hotel

"We recently returned from a lovely stay at Angela Suites. We had a spacious deluxe double room with balcony which unfortunately didn't have a view. We were in a block of 9, the bottom 3 having direct access to their own pool. We all faced onto the side wall of another block which was disappointing. The room was spotless, however quite dated, including the bathroom. Breakfast was satisfactory and served until 10.30. The breakfast staff were so friendly and very attentive. The pool was 1.4m in depth throughout. Never any problem getting a sunbed during the day. Pool towels are also provided by the Hotel. The Angela Studio Apts are across the road and have full use of the Hotels facilities. These are 3 star and the apartments have views of the mountains. If we were to return in the future we would definitely choose the Studios. The tourist tax for these is €2 per night compared to the €15 per night we paid on checkout for 11 nights! A huge amount when really there is no real difference between the 2 accommodations. Please bear in mind the Hotel is not 5* This is an excellent 3.5* Hotel which we would return to again. If you come expecting 5* you will be disappointed. Fortunately, we read the reviews before we came and knew not to expect 5*"
