The views from the room was breathtaking and the terrace absolutely perfect to sip your morning coffee. The rooms are fully equipped and with lovely details such as the lighting fixtures, wall design and small decorations that make the whole room feel more homely and not a generic hotel room. I was particularly impressed by the attention that was paid not only to the rooms but also the overall building - night time views even more so. You can expect great value for money here and enjoy your stay and the lovely aesthetic not only of Crete, but also the hotel itself."

"What a truly wonderful experience! I write this review while appreciating the most beautiful view from the pool. Elounda Heights is by far the most friendly welcoming hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It’s run by a lovely family with fabulous staff who go out of their way to make your holiday special and memorable. Amazing home made jams and treats kick off a delicious freshly prepared breakfast served to table. Thank you Cleo for the delicious rice pudding we’ll be back for more of that for sure! Lunch at the pool bar great too especially the Greek Club. Sun beds plentiful surrounding a peaceful and relaxing pool area. We’re staying in a Studio which is large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It’s a truly special place impeccably run with home from home touches. Beautiful grounds beautiful views and one we will return to, hopefully very soon. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday."

"From the moment we arrived , we were greeted by the lovely Kostas . A warm , friendly welcome. He took us to our room that had a lovely spacious balcony with a view of Elounda bay . This hotel has wonderful staff including the amazing, very hardworking Sophia who seems to be everywhere . The Standard rooms are clean , however they are needing an upgrade . The Superior rooms have been done and are beautiful . Nothing can beat the location of this hotel, across the road , down the steps and on to the most beautiful bay ."

"Extremely hospitable and helpful staff. The hotel equipment is completely new. The main restaurant has a very beautiful terrace overlooking the sea that offers a rich buffet, very good breakfast and dinner. Very beautiful view of the sea and the island of Spinalonga. Modern decoration, lots of storage space, very comfortable bedding. I highly recommend it !!!"

"We just finished a week stay with my pregnant wife and 2.5 year old daughter. As with any holiday with a toddler there are inevitably ups and downs and the EGV team couldn’t have been more considerate, helpful and caring. The chef made delicious off menu pasta and omelettes for our daughter and Athina was incredibly sweet and sensitive at the kids club, doing painting and Easter crafts. George made superb cocktails and mocktails for us and some fresh strawberries for our daughter and Constantinos and the restaurant team couldn’t have been more supportive. Maria and the front desk team were lovely and had lots of very helpful advice and we didn’t have any of the additional charges that other guests have spoken of with the previous management. The lovely warm pool with our room was at no extra charge and the views from it were spectacular. I’d also recommend the beautiful trail walk around the opposite peninsula - Spinalogkas. It’s totally unspoiled and has such a magical feel to it. We had a great trip and would come back again."

"This year has been my 4th year here and it's like coming home. The hotel has a friendly, family atmosphere and is in a quiet place where you can relax and not listen to discos until the morning. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and the view is wonderful. The food was fantastic, we always knew what to choose. The pool bar was our favorite place where, apart from the beach, we probably spent the most time meeting new people and talking with our friends from the hotel. Of course, the drinks were not to be missed, they are really at the level. The staff here are very friendly and always knew how to give us tips on where to go and what to see. The beach is pebbly, but it didn't bother us, since the wind is common in Crete, and this way at least we didn't have sand everywhere. Can't wait to be here next year. "

"We stayed at Ikaros 3 from end June to early July 2024, for 8 days. The2 rooms apartment, recently renovated, is very nice , clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, nearby the beach with a nice sea view, and very close to the village and the port. Nota, the owner, and her daughter Delphina are very kind and hospitable. All was perfect."

"Just returned from 10 days in this hotel and wow what a fabulous place to stay The hotel and rooms are immaculately clean. The grounds are beautifully set on a hillside, with stunning sea views. The pool and private beach were busy but we always found sun beds, with no need to get up early to reserve one. The food was tasty and varied and the service excellent, tables cleared and cleaned quickly. This hotels best asset though is the animation team, with a special shout out to Samu and Bono. They were so friendly and entertaining providing fun activities throughout the day. Bono was especially kind to our daughter, who he encouraged to join in the fun each day. We watched the shows every night and loved them, always leaving with a smile. Thank you for a memorable holiday"

"Lovely hotel, great facilities, lovely staff, but when it gets busy quality of service falls off a cliff. Evening food is always lukewarm, breakfast this morning got no tea or coffee, they ran out of sunbeds one day!!! So chose a quiet time it’ll be great. When busy avoid!!!"

"Adults only hotel. Great stay, lovely room, maisonette room, amazing view. ( Neighbours can be heard a little). Food was always varied, Greek and amazing. Service was impeccable. Pool bar staff daytime were funny. Beach for adults only, main pool small but beach is massive. Thanks to Despina et al, at front desk whom I emailed before and during the stay for requests like booking a car ( which I would recommend from Nikos, (Car 2 Day) good price, nice car and no extra insurances like other Crete companies. Overall, it’s a switch off retreat. No massive bars or nightlife or even restaurants. A quiet 2 weeks was just the bill."

"One of the best hotels I've stayed at, in the luxury segment. A luxurious room with a large terrace overlooking the sea, luxurious linens, a coffee machine, and complimentary complimentary wine. Since the hotel is located on a mountain terrace, you'll have to navigate some stairs, although there are elevators (three levels). You can also get around the grounds by electric car, with a driver who will take you anywhere. The breakfast is 5*, and the service is excellent. There's a great beach with a bar and water activities, and you can rent a boat without a captain. Since it's off-season, the price is simply fantastic for a hotel of this caliber. I'd happily return again."

"We booked for the first time with Jet2, for which the holiday was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We took our sons and their partners. I had assisting boarding as very recently had a complex knee replacement; the service couldn’t have been handled any better if they tried as it was so smooth and the staff were happy and professional. We were greeted straight off the plane at Crete and once again the assistance was brilliant. The hotel and staff were great and made us and our holiday feel so special. The hotel and rooms were clean and modern and had a real feeling of quality.we are booking to go away in September and with out a doubt will be going with JET2 - keep up the amazing work"

"I couldn't describe it any better. Truly wonderful. It is our last day here, We came to Castello Resort Village for 10 days. Everything was perfect. The food and service were excellent. We met the manager Ervis, who did everything to provide excellent service. We were also lucky enough to meet Christopher a great administrator there, He was very polite and a true gentleman. We will definitely be back. We recommend it without a doubt!"

"Honestly, for us, the contract was fulfilled. Located directly on the beach near small shops, the hotel benefits from a privileged location and a modern presentation. We had a room with a direct sea view. I confirm that waking up to the sound of the waves is very pleasant. We also found the staff professional. Nearby we recommend: A sure bet referenced by the routard, the Vira Potzi restaurant is a few minutes' walk along the seafront. We also recommend the small Beach Club Waikiki, which is 200 m from the hotel, to take advantage of the deckchairs offered by the establishment for a lazy day. As for the restaurant, a simple but effective menu at a low price. In short, we enjoyed this stopover overall."

"Superb 7-night stay in this hotel. Everything is perfect, we had the Paros suite which is simply exceptional. Everything is well decorated, simple, very stylish, and spotlessly clean. The small private beach is also very pleasant. We had dinner every evening in the hotel which is worth the detour with a great Italian chef who makes perfect Greek dishes. The staff is always kind, always available to help or find solutions. Everything is calm here, everything is zen. Special mention to Maria, our bar-woman who gave us great advice on wines, especially the Codex white wine. But all the staff is really great, whether at reception or in the restaurant, their kindness is always a pleasure. We will definitely come back."

"Beautiful hotel, very friendly staff, very quiet. Nice resort layout. I especially liked the 2 big pools, one of which is a quiet pool with no music playing. I am rating 4 of 5 because the food options were a little limited in my opinion and the à la carte restaurant was closed in the week I was there but sadly there was no prior communication about this, neither from the travel company I had booked with, nor at the reception during checkin - I only found out the next evening when I wanted to make a dinner reservation for the night. This left 2 options for dinner: the buffet restaurant (which isn't for me, personally) or room service, which only had 3 (I believe) main choices. There was a quite good selection on the (pool)bar menu in the afternoon (I tried the Poké bowl which was tasty !) but this menu was only available during the afternoon until 16:30. I am wondering why the same food couldn't be an option on the room service menu ...? The bar staff explained I had to order in my room from room service menu but couldn't get the same food at the bar. (Again, very friendly explanation from the staff, but seemed a little illogical to me.) I happened to have a rental car anyway so I went out for dinner and lunch (no food between end of breakfast and beginning of pool menu at 13:00 either) which was a little downer as I had originally planned to just hang out on hotel property for my stay. Also, this was lost revenue for the hotel ;) They have an outdoor cinema where they show movies every night, so if you go to bed early, get a room that isn't facing that area of the resort. So overall, very nice hotel, but knowing the food situation make sure to do some research on what restaurant options there are nearby; having a car helps, since this resort is quite remote."
