Econo Lodge Inn & Suites

Do not recommend! The only positive thing I can say is that the bed was clean, the AC worked and the price was inexpensive for the location, but now I see why. Decided to stay here on a recent visit to see our son based on decent reviews on other sites. Do not believe the nice pics they post online because it's pretty run down. There were so many things wrong, but just to name a few... - The bathroom shower had paint peeling and the tub had over half the finish peeling off. The base of the toilet was never cleaned well and there was rust around the bolts that had spread all over the bottom. TP holder was rusty and barely attached to the wall. There was also NO hot water in the shower. - There was supposed to be seating in the room, however it appears that everything except the bed and the area for the TV had been removed, leaving scarred walls and scratched paint over a large open area where the furniture was supposed to be. - The sink and faucet had rust all over them. - The listing stated there was an ironing board and iron, however the hotel does not carry them at all. - Advertised free breakfast, however it consisted of a store bought base of cheap cereal bars and a case of packaged muffins set out on a small table in the lobby. No juice or any type of drinks. Technically it WAS a free breakfast, but it was extremely cheap and tacky. Only reason we didn't leave after the first night is because, as I said, the bed was clean, the location was good, and the AC worked well. Also, the staff was reasonably friendly but also seemed like they didn't like their jobs very much. I definitely wouldn't stay there again. It's a shame, because the rooms could be much nicer if they put even a little effort into fixing them up. The basics are there.

Lied about breakfast, which we chose by I called around to different hotels for my son's baseballs competition because with early games we needed real breakfast at the hotel. I called ONE day before arrival to ask what bfast would be next day and day after. "Oatmeal, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit." Great, protein, fiber. I'll be fine. But that was a lie: packaged mini muffins and nutrigrain bars, gross sugar bombs he wouldn't touch because he understands nutrition. We are SO angry. What front desk person at Econo Lodge is sick enough to lie to a parent?

Stay only for nights sleep, during the day was at work

The reception person was quite badly faced and said that he should not go down to the room that I am supposed to do here.

To much noise. Did not have enough towels or shampoo for everyone. No iron, or a coffe maker .
