"Fantastic place to stay, well equipped with super friendly hosts! We could not have asked for more. We were staying for my partner Jack’s 30th birthday, a group of 13 of us. The games room was the perfect meeting place and had everything you could have wanted for a weekend full of activities - pool table, ping pong and we brought our own board games. We also brought our own pizza oven, smoker and used the BBQ there to cook up a feast. There was enough space, fire wood and tables for us all. There’s a badminton court about a 5 minute walk away and we went on a beautiful walk nearby. The house and cottages are set in a lovely village, walking distance to many restaurants, shops and pubs. The attention to detail was remarkable with luxury linen, towels with bed chocolates, and a welcome food pack. It was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. Thanks Mary, Sophie and kitties (everyone loved the cats getting involved) - you made Jack’s 30th birthday one to remember!"

"I actually really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean and homely. Very secure. All staff were lovely and friendly. It works. Breakfast was lovely. There is a carvery on Thursday nights. For the price I would definitely book again. Wouldn't mind seeing a dinner, bed and breakfast option when booking."

"Welcomed and shown to our ground floor room across the courtyard. A small room but very nicely decorated. There was outside seating directly outside window but not obtrusive. Had evening meal in restaurant which we enjoyed as very flavoursome but expensive. We both slept very well but found the shower in ensuite bathroom very small and we are not big people! Breakfast not quite as good as evening meal as husbands bacon could have used more time cooking plus the sausage was only browned on one side looking a bit raw. Toast was burnt! I was not asked if I would like a refill of coffee as a full small jug of hot milk was given but only had a small cup of coffee. A very nice stay overall, room very comfortable."

"3 of us stayed at the Old Pound Inn for 1 night as a stop over as we were in the South West on business in October. All three of us agreed that our rooms were nice, and the beds were comfortable. Staff and locals were all very friendly and welcoming. The pub had a lovely country feel to it and we happily sat down and enjoyed a lovely evening meal, I can recommend the dirty fries and they have a great variety of ice cream - my boss was delighted to see rum & raisin on there as he said he hadn't that for years! The breakfast in the morning was cooked perfectly, we all had a full English. All in all we all agreed we would happily stay here again - so a big thank you to the Old Pound Inn from all from us."

"We stayed at Withy Cottages as a group of 12 and had a fantastic time. The cottages were spacious, well equipped, and full of charm. Mary, the owner, was incredibly helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the scenic walks straight from the cottages along the river to Langport, and the pub just across the road was brilliant. With features like a games room and pet-friendly stays, it had everything we needed. We’ve already booked again for next year!"
