10/10 Home hotel Airbnb style but better

Our stay at SoLo Suites in Victoria was very disappointing. When we arrived, we were given the door code to another guest’s room and actually walked in to find all of their belongings inside. It was an extremely uncomfortable and an unacceptable situation. I had to be the one to suggest that a discount would be appropriate — after all, imagine if the guests had been in the room getting dressed or having a private, romantic moment. We would all need therapy after that, and honestly, I feel like I need it just thinking about what could have happened. When the host finally attempted to verify the discount they offered (50% off the first night only), he admitted that he contacted the wrong guest. The room we were eventually given was clean but poorly stocked and not properly prepared for guests. There was only one roll of toilet paper, just four coffee pods for three mornings and three people, and the noise from the nearby elevator made it difficult to relax. The internet connection was extremely poor as well. While the host apologized, but it felt dismissive and insincere — as though a simple “sorry” could make up for everything. Unfortunately, it didn’t. We felt unsafe in our room. We will not stay here again and do not recommend these accommodations. If the whole of Victoria wasn’t fully booked, we would have switch accommodations.

We stayed at Solo Suites Langford for a week and couldn’t be happier with our accommodations. The staff was always professional, helpful and responded immediately to any issues. We would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others.

Really liked the property and our suite was great. Just made us a little sad to show up later than the check in time and still have to wait for our room to get cleaned and not a huge deal but the WiFi not working was a little bit of a let down. Other than that the staff was very friendly and helpful and location was ideal.

I like having a kitchen so I can bake and cook for my family when I’m visiting. Could use an extra chair sometimes but just ask. Seating only for three often depending the room.
