"This is a classic hotel. It's a bit old, but very clean. The location is excellent, with direct BART access to and from the airport. We also had great access to tourist attractions using the Cable Car Turnaround on Powell St. Personally, I really appreciated having a Trader Joe's, Target, and Ross Dress for Less all within a 5-minute walk. It's more affordable than other hotels in the area, so I'd definitely want to stay here again if I go to San Francisco."

"The hotel left a mixed impression. The building itself is quite old, which is noticeable throughout the property. The air conditioning in the room was not working, making it very hot and uncomfortable, especially at night. The gym is also in poor condition — the equipment is outdated and needs renovation. Housekeeping was consistent, but the cleaner came every morning at 9:00 AM, which was not always convenient and sometimes disturbed our rest. On the positive side, the hotel has a bar with surprisingly good food — that was definitely a highlight. The staff were also very friendly, polite, and helpful. Overall, the hotel might be okay if you don’t mind outdated conditions, but for the price, I expected a higher level of comfort."

"Because of the late arrival to SFO at around 10:00pm and taking the flight to SLC (Salt Lake City) at 11:00am, so we chose the stay at Grand Hyatt at SFO. The major reason is this hotel located at SFO (Airport). Instead of taking the shuttle to hotels, you can easily take the air-train from international terminal with 2 stops to arrive at Grand Hyatt Hotel in 5 minutes. So, you can have a good sleep at night and take your time in the morning for the next flight."

"This is my experience with Union Hotel. What you see is what you get. If you are not that choosy for a quick stay (2-3 nights) should I say, then you can stay here, less expensive and economically sound for a traveler. However, there are only 2 toilet rooms and 1 shower room per floor with 12-15 single/double bed rooms sharing that amenities. This is a 4 story cute hotel, and there is no elevator. So watch out if you carry heavy luggage as it will burden you. There is no front desk like a typical hotel, you need to enter a gated (with buzzer) door, and the owner will meet you at the approaching alley in the 2nd Floor. Although there is a small lavatory inside the room. No A/C nor heater also. No blower as well. The location is very near at the 16th Street Bart Station but need to caution you during night time as this area is in Mission district and maybe “not so normal” people around the corner doing lot of things (I cannot confirm if they are doing bad, as I didn’t get closer to them), plenty of street dwellers also are present in the neighborhood, just be careful with your belongings when getting in the sideways."

"It can be said that the price is the most expensive hotel. This price San Francisco can only live in a very poor kind. I used to live next door to Hilton but the price is too high. 3k5 one night forgot to book the last day and then choose nearby. I just started to have no hope for the hotel. After all, the room in Hilton is too old and so expensive. The balcony is superb but has just entered TILDEN. . . Very fine, the hotel is very clean, the service is very good, the style is very fashionable, this price is estimated to be the most cost-effective room in San Francisco. The location is very good."

"Loved every bit of my stay here. Every staff I encountered during my stay was friendly and helpful. The room is slightly dated but the attentive housekeeping definitely made up for it. Location wise it’s convenient and close to major spots in the city. You might find homeless people a few blocks away from the hotel but it’s common in the neighborhood and the hotel staff and security made me feel safe once entering the hotel area."

"The room was quite big and quiet, the front desk was very polite and the check-in process was very smooth. There is a shuttle bus, arrive on time, remember to tell the driver which passenger building will be delivered directly."

"The room, how can I put it? The soundproofing was awful. I could clearly hear coughing from the room on my left and the TV from the room on my right – every sound was crystal clear. This is simply not the level of sound insulation a hotel should provide. On the plus side, its proximity to the airport was excellent."

"The space is a little smaller, the floor is better if it is not a cement floor, and it is quite comfortable for one night overall."

"Amenities are really lacking - the room lacked basic items, including no free water in the room, no slippers, only one dressing gown (despite being booked for two people). Temperature controls were inconsistent. The lighting was either on or off - no way to turn off just a few. Service was predominately pretty poor - staff were grumpy and aloof from our arrival onwards. But Sammie was fantastic - when we encountered an issue with the heating in our original room she was super accommodating and friendly. Redeeming qualities - the room was really clean, housekeeping were great, the view from the roof was great, and the location was walking distance from so many places (MOMA, Union Square, Oracle Stadium, Chase Stadium, Pier 33 for Alcatraz, ferry building etc) as well as good food options."
