Maybe not located in the city center or by the sea but we love the vibes of this location so much. it was quiet and surrounding by real portland local. Most important only a block away from Tandem Coffee which everyone must try once you are in portland. The living room and bedroom are absolutely fabulous. Grab yourselves a few snack at their snack bar and laying there is great enough.💖💖

The Press Hotel is a very nice hotel; clean, modern, upscale. But I found the valuer for the money was lacking. The food in their restaurant, Union, was above average but the prices were too high for what you got. Breakfast for two (one order of oatmeal and one order of a smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese) came to $44, and with a 20% tip thrown in the meal cost $53. For breakfast! My dinner the night before was similar; very tasty food, but not worth the $125 price for two people. If you don't mind spending lots of $$, it's a great hotel with excellent service and nice rooms.

The service was excellent. The staff is pleasant and efficient. I took advantage of a special rate for teachers which included valet parking and breakfast which was a GREAT deal.

Very clean, accommodating staff. If I could suggest anything, it would be that they would explain when asked about being pet friendly that they don’t allow pets to stay in the room while you’re not there and charge a $250 fine if you leave the room. We were confused because in other hotels that we stayed, we were allowed to leave the dogs. This makes it rather difficult when you arrive at the location and you’re an hour and a half away from your house that you have to now find a dog sitter or a dog daycare while you go out of your hotel room to me it defeats the purpose because I know I would’ve left them with the dog sitter at home either that or they clarify their stance on such issues like “do you have a dog here well as long as he stays quiet, it’s OK“ something to that effect.

Good: Affordable relative to other hotels, nice/spacious room, complimentary water and coffee during select times of day, nice lounge with games and pool table to hang out at night, room and lobby were clean upon arrival. Not so good: Front desk staff had a mix of friendly and not-as-friendly people - the guy at the night shift was not very welcoming when I checked in. The hallway in the 6th floor smelled strongly of carpet shampoo; it was unpleasant to walk through. Bedsheets were a bit rough (low thread count I presume).

The hotel is a business type, good, simple, but everything is available, parking 20 knives a day. By the sea, it is very good to walk, it is also a tourist attraction, and it is very lively in the town market. There is also a relatively large church in the town. The glass painting inside is very attractive to me. The locals are very friendly, the seafood is super delicious, the oysters are not too tired, the lobster morning market, 9.9 knives. Overall not bad for a basic stay. Staff were friendly and rooms are as expected. Breakfast could be improved as the meats weren’t hot and pastries were quite stale.

The room we got even though was visibly clean, there was lot of dust especially from the air conditioner vents. Pillow covers and bedsheets seemed to be not washed for long or dusty. Overall room missed a comfortable feel. They also could have put some room fresheners. Breakfast was very basic or minimal. I did not use any other amenities like pool or gym so not sure of that.

The environment is not bad, the bed is comfortable and clean, the water pressure in the bathroom is normal, the spa pool is well maintained, there are supermarkets around, and it is about 14 minutes drive from downtown Portland. If you have any issues, please report them and the front desk will handle them.
